Analysis
Positives: Adequate height and very solid overall build for a corner or free safety. ... Has the strength to jam on the line. ... Likes contact, will bring his hips and wrap up in the open field. ... Good awareness, reads screens, play action and misdirection. ... High-points the football and had good hands for the interception. ... Breaks up passes by jumping routes or fighting for the ball in the air. ... Returned 10 kickoffs for 323 yards as a senior and can be dangerous running back interceptions. ... Played through pain and returned quickly from groin surgery during junior season. ... Physical runner on returns -- goes straight upfield, is willing to take a hit and can bounce off to get additional yardage.

Negatives: Some teams will grade him as a safety and cornerback "tweener." ... Does not have great straight-line or recovery speed. ... Best when attacking the play in front of him. ... Will throw his shoulder to make a hit instead of wrapping up. ... Lacks great height and vertical leap to challenge tall NFL receivers. ... Inconsistent getting off receiver blocks on the edge. ... Lacks great quickness, vision or speed on returns.

I dont really like the Negatives...

freaking finnally...I was considering asking the Pope to play in the secondary.

happy now?

From ESPN Insider
2004: Quin enrolls at Southwest Mississippi Junior College and appears in two games before breaking his arm and taking a medical red shirt. 2005: Quin registers 40 tackles, eight passes broken up and two interceptions including one he returned for a touchdown. 2006: Quin transfers to New Mexico. 2006-'08: Quin starts 34 of the 36 games he appears in at the cornerback position. He records 156 tackles including 7.5 tackles-for-loss. He accumulates seven interceptions, 31 passes broken up, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Quin also returns ten kickoffs for a total of 323 yards and earns first team All-MWC honors in 2008.

Plays DB, looks like a ballhawk, and can run back kicks.

Glover Quin, New Mexico
Height: 5-11. Weight: 204.
Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Combine 40 Time: 4.54.
Benchx225: 22. Vertical: 38.
Projected Round (2009): 6-7.

Lol;

Quin looks like a Safety.

I'm going to wager you've never "herd" of spell check, or correct grammar usage either.

remember, don't rush to judgement just because you've never heard of the player...

that's exactly why we're rushing to judgement. we never ever heard of this guy ever ever before. have I said ever yet?

jesus. this is like last year when the Titans took William Hayes. He wasn't even on the player rankings on some draft site, hell he didn't even had a picture on his player bio on nfl.com. You couldn't find crap about him on google.

We drafted our own "Mr.X" this year. must have been 'effing karma for laughing my *** off last year at the Titans reaching for a nobody.

never heard of him but looks real nice in some of those highlights. instincts and physicality (5:23 is dunta-esque)

the point is that the vast majority of players drafted are not names at all, and are not at sexy positions. and, by the way, the vast majority of players on any given team aren't sexy names or make the Pro Bowl or highlights on ESPN, but if they're good, the team will be good.

This has to be by far the craziests draft ever because things are not going according to ESPN, Draft gurus, and so-called "experts"...maybe we need to realize that the coaches know what there doing because thats what they do...they coach players so they might see something in a player that eevryone else fails to see.

Josh McDaniels even said during his press interview that he's taking players who fit in his style of offense and that he doesn't care about what others say.

:fans:

Goodson can't run between the tackles, and was not a good teammate according to many draft sites. That doesn't sound like the Texans idea of a running back personally.

We will be able to draft a good power back with our next pick....

...which means you should expect a TE or OG.
