Oof. Very much an old coaches sucked but here’s all these nice things said about the new coach introduction. Awkward. Because the new coach knows someday he may be done up publicly that way too.
So Green Bay was resilient because they happened to get one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL back in the nick of time?
Yes, new coaching blood and voices definitely needed to come to Reliant, but if the only lesson learned is ideal coach platitudes and you gotta coach the young guys better, I worry that you are setting the new coaching staff up for failure.
Maybe that is the only lesson that is actually being shared with the public during firing and hiring press conferences. Maybe the Texans are doing an in-depth examination of all their internal processes, not just with coaching. I hope so.
There’s plenty of room for it because the team isn’t that old, and they haven’t had much success, so every football operations thing should be on the table for change.
