nice enough guy, but doesnt seem like he cares about winning. i guess i wouldnt care too much if i was that rich and getting pockets stuffed by a losing product.

I think McNair wants to win. Who wants to sit in a luxury box and watch your team get booed? The question is, does McNair know what it takes to win? I don't see it. The people around him don't know what it takes, and he picked those people. McNair needs to find one guy that knows the NFL, and step back. Way back.nice enough guy, but doesnt seem like he cares about winning.
Maybe he should call Coughlin while he's in town. Just sayin...I think McNair wants to win. Who wants to sit in a luxury box and watch your team get booed? Day late and a dollar short on that. But Bob could call Coughlin's mentor.Maybe he should call Coughlin while he's in town. Just sayin...

Immediate problem may be poor coaching
Longer term problem Rick Smith
Longest term problem Owner. I like McNair as a person but he needs to hire qualified personnel and then get the hell out.

Nobody wants to win more than Bob McNair, he just doesn't know how. In fact he's pretty bad at it. His EGO believes he has the answers and the know how to win. He does not.nice enough guy, but doesnt seem like he cares about winning. i guess i wouldnt care too much if i was that rich and getting pockets stuffed by a losing product.

How long does that goodwill last? I mean this is the 16th season.Oh Jesus Christ, here we go again.
At least we have a NFL team to ***** about. And don't think for a second I'm defending anyone. Because I'm not.
Christ almighty not this stupid **** again.
I'll tell you what when Bob McNair rolls his near 80 year old ass out of bed and craps the bed, then we can blame him. Houston laid a egg today, but that yoke is not on McNair. Fire the damn Offensive genius of a head coach.
Who hired the offensive genius to be HC?
Who hired the GM who put the talent on the OL that allowed 10 sacks? I repeat 10 sacks? It's kinda hard to be an offensive genius when your OL allows 10 sacks because your GM failed to address that area of need in not only the draft but in FA and failed to get his best OL in camp and ready to start game 1 of the regular season. These chickens are beginning to come home to roost.
But it's easier to blame BOB. It's all his fault no matter I called what was going to happen this season before it happened. At this point I want everybody fired.
Lol
And who was the Bob nut hugger, oh that's right YOU WERE what a joke

Yes short answer yes trollIs this directed at me?
I said before the season that BOB would be gone after this season one way or the other. If it's me you're talking too, then think of me what you wish. You need to admit your boys the McNairs are a bunch of idiots when it comes to roster building and that's had very little to do with BOB. BOB wanted to hire Ceasario as GM and kick Ricky upstairs. McNair nixed what BOB wanted to do. I guess this is what you mean by BOB nut hugging?
You absolutely hate the ******* owner we get it
Yes short answer yes troll
I don't hate anybody
I jhate that winning is very low on McNair's priority list. I've been saying this since 2010 and nothing has been done to change my mind on this subject.
BTW, If you want to discuss this with me use the quote function. If you want to drive by disparage my line of thinking then knock yourself out. The one thing you cant do is change the facts of how the Texans org was built, or the results that have ensued.

I agree 100%. To me, the fact that this team is always up against the cap shows that he at least makes an effort to build a winner. The problem, IMO, is just that he has put the wrong people (person) in charge, and is too slow/scared to make a change. I still remember the famous interview he gave about how firing Kubiak would have been too "traumatic". I think the 2-14 season was the very next year.
Nope stating facts that you are either blinded by or chose to ignore since 2010.
I don't see 5-11 or 6-10 in today's teams future.Yep, it takes 2-14 to get any semblance of change in the Texans org. This yrs 5-11, 6-10 will probably get BOB fired and Ricky will stay on using the excuse of having a rookie QB and then a YES man HC will be the next HC of the Texans. Come on down Lovie you're the perfect HC for this org.
The board rested in 2004 troll I've been posting a LONGER than that TROLL

Now this is just stupid. If he didn't care about winning he wouldn't have stood for drafting a QB in the first round (like you all demanded) or resigning our best WR, and taking the team to West Virginia so they could practice comfortably. It's more of him not really knowing that much about football and believing in the guys he has around him.nice enough guy, but doesnt seem like he cares about winning. i guess i wouldnt care too much if i was that rich and getting pockets stuffed by a losing product.
Ok ok 3-13 lolI'm an optimist.
I think they will beat Cincy Thursday and Indy is absolutely horrible, Luck or no Luck.

Every owner in the league is rich and stuffing their pockets in this game. Can we stop with that stupid ass narrative already?
The fact that they are always up against the cap every year and every year they have virtually no depth to speak of. The real weakest link of this organization. The depth of this team is made up mostly of veteran minimums and rookie salaries. Doesn't speak well of their salary cap management.I agree 100%. To me, the fact that this team is always up against the cap shows that he at least makes an effort to build a winner. McNair is too timid when it comes to football and the people he puts around him. McNair's ego has every right to sit on a high pedestal, only when it dovetails into football it's such a different animal compared to Cogen Tech, Cogene Biotech, that he loses himself in what brought him to football in the first place, an escape for his other business ventures. It was supposed to be fun, adventurous, and money-making. Well, it's all of those things, but when you join a good ol' boy's club, you can't quite be the good ol' boy behind closed doors as you are when you're in the public eye.
These days, it's 16-years in, with a 79-year old man, and that zebra won't change those stripes. He hasn't learned. He'll be the same man (and same owner) to his grave.
It's the trickle-down effect, and it's killing this team. It always has. Same conversation, different year.
Was McNair out there at LT? Maybe LG? Or even RG?
This is on Ricky first and foremost, and secondly on OB for not complaining loudly enough about the shaft job and then failing to make any efforts to mitigate the effects.
I still think the OL coaching sucks, but perhaps it's tough to coach a cowpattie to smell like a rose
