Immediate problem may be poor coaching
    Longer term problem Rick Smith
Longest term problem Owner. I like McNair as a person but he needs to hire qualified personnel and then get the hell out.

Oh Jesus Christ, here we go again.

At least we have a NFL team to ***** about. And don't think for a second I'm defending anyone. Because I'm not.

I think McNair wants to win. Who wants to sit in a luxury box and watch your team get booed? The question is, does McNair know what it takes to win? I don't see it. The people around him don't know what it takes, and he picked those people. McNair needs to find one guy that knows the NFL, and step back. Way back.

Day late and a dollar short on that. But Bob could call Coughlin's mentor.

    This is
    This is your solution?

He has hired people and tried to get out of the way. He's tried to be patient with those people (too much so, IMO), but has cycled through coaches after giving them an appropriate period of time, or maybe a year too long. He hasn't meddled much, isn't a blowhard like Jerry Jones, and doesn't fire his people every year or two like Cleveland or NY. His hires for head coach have been praised at the times of hire.

McNair really only has one failing, and that's being too patient with one single person in his employ. Every other person has been given a fair shot to provide results and then let go.

No, I'm firmly calling this loss on Rick Smith. He stood by and did nothing as Brown refused to show up for work. His mentality of 10% - 60% - 30% is over the top bad. (If I remember that right, read an article years ago and I can't find it now.) That's your top 10% you do whatever to keep around, 60% are your blue collar type workers, you extend if they are doing well and the bottom 30% is constantly churning. Rick is terrible at finding people that fit what the coach wants on the field. He can hit some stellar picks in the first round, but for the love of all that is Texans, he is crap when filling in the depth.

This game was an embarrassment on all sides of the ball. Gah, I can't believe I got suckered into spending another $200 for NFL Sunday Ticket this year. I feel for you folks with PSLs.

Christ almighty not this stupid **** again.

I'll tell you what when Bob McNair rolls his near 80 year old ass out of bed and craps the bed, then we can blame him. Houston laid a egg today, but that yoke is not on McNair. Fire the damn Offensive genius of a head coach.

Nobody wants to win more than Bob McNair, he just doesn't know how. In fact he's pretty bad at it. His EGO believes he has the answers and the know how to win. He does not.

Sign me up for any of Texian's choices for GM and Head Coach in his signature.

Who hired the offensive genius to be HC?

Who hired the GM who put the talent on the OL that allowed 10 sacks? I repeat 10 sacks? It's kinda hard to be an offensive genius when your OL allows 10 sacks because your GM failed to address that area of need in not only the draft but in FA and failed to get his best OL in camp and ready to start game 1 of the regular season. These chickens are beginning to come home to roost.

But it's easier to blame BOB. It's all his fault no matter I called what was going to happen this season before it happened. At this point I want everybody fired.

    I blame them all.

It's almost poetic how a trio of idiots found each other like this.
