ITT: everyone overreacts.

OK!! I know I'm OLD and nowhere near 24, but, what the hell does "she looked fly as hell" mean? I'm serious, I have no idea what you're talking about!

Yes.
The wife and I were discussing this last night. The fact that men aren't allowed in womens locker rooms was brought up. We came to the conclusion that NO media should be allowed in the locker room. I think a locker room is a lot like Vegas. What happens in a locker room, stays in a locker room. These vultures can get their interviews as the players walk out.
More pics! More pics!
Yes.
Gma, that's "fly as hell!" ^^^^^^
I just can't wrap my mind around how THIS lady, wearing what she wears, and being known for how she goes about her business, ends up in the realm of NFL.
It's so bizarre.
Perhaps THE most asinine event to have taken place in the NFL since Boobgate during the Super Bowl when there was a "wardrobe malfunction."
The NFL needs to come up with a conduct policy for all persons who access or enter NFL franchise facilities (such as a locker room). Make them adhere to guidelines, and obviously make sure they wear appropriate attire. That's gonna' include NOT wearing jeans that are painted onto your legs.
Then, you have each franchise designate a Watch Dog person whose sole job is to make sure person with access are going about their business professionally. Will it be tedious? Yes. Will it cause rifts? Yes.
But if I were Portis, I would consider suing the NFL for sexual harassment. Throw it back in their face. Who cares if you lose the case, as long as attention is driven toward the NFL and how it allows people into an area where you're trying to get naked and get a shower after having done your job for your employer.
Times have changed. And yet you've got players like Portis who probably feel they're in a no-win situation. It's a joke. If they have to be all Politically Correct with what they say, then the NFL needs to provide their players with the opportunity to not fall into the traps that are being set by this P.C. environment that's all around us. Don't set guys up to fail, in other words.
It's just wearing me smooth out.
She said that she noticed errant footballs kept landing around her forcing players to come near her to retrieve them. Of course if anybody watched Sanchez Monday night it is obvious that those passes landing near the television reporters were probably by accident.
In my opinion, I never felt I was attacked. I went to the locker room and started to talk about commentary and sports. Another reporter approached me to say he was sorry these things were happening…and that evidently people were making fun of me.
I don’t even pay attention.

Tried to rep ya GP, but have to spread rep!
Can't understand why the media is trying to make this chick a victim! Un-freaking-believable to me!
Wish I knew how to reack Clinton Portis! I'd let him know that some females agree with what he had to say.
I thought she told an ESPN Deportes reporter that she was shocked at how much attention she was getting - that she never said that she felt "harrassed"
She didn't report it to anyone.
It was a male reporter that went to the Association for Women in Sports Media.
She said on DeporTV:
When asked about all this controversy on the Today Show, she said:
She's a woman proud of her image and sensuality.
She doesn't sound like she's offended or upset. She doesn't sound like she's threatening litigation over it. At least not now, not yet.
As for the comment earlier about her 15-minutes of fame. She's had a lot more than 15 minutes' worth, worldwide. Because of her image and her sensuality, she's been a global sports reporting staple.
I find it interesting that there are people who are mad at the media for jumping to conclusions - but some of those same people are jumping to conclusions about Inez in this case.
This entire story is being sensationalized. Portis's comments are being sensationalized - frankly, I didn't think his words were all that offensive. I think it was a bit silly. I think there are people who can manage to conduct themselves in a professional manner, even while interviewing nude people.
But is the reaction overblown? I think so.
I think there's a lot of sensationalizing going around this entire story - from the male reporter who went to the AWSM to the Jets front office to the NFL front office to Clinton Portis... and to some in this thread.
I think it's an interesting topic to discuss generally, but the ad hominem attacks on Ines Sainz seem a bit off target.
Females in the sports media world should all wear burlap sacks and look like my great aunt edna or else they are being "too sexy with it".
The obvious nefarious reporter here is the douche who went to that association trying to speak out on Inez's behalf.
http://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/artic...perience_in_new_york_jets_locker_room/3211810We have learned that the reporter in question is Inés Sainz of Mexian TV Azteca. She actually tweets about her experience meeting Mark Sanchez and how it went in the Jets Locker room.
Here is a translation of the Spanish Tweets (copies of Tweets can be seen below).
First tweet about Jets She says, “Me muero de incomodidad! Estoy en los lockers de los jets esperando por Mark Sanchez y mientras tratando de no mirar a ningun lado!!
Trans: ”I’m so uncomfortable. I’m in the lockeroon waiting for Mark Sanchez trying not to make eye contact.”
Second Jets tweet, “Solo porq es la unica forma de entrevistarlo previo al partido de el lunes!! Pero demasiada hormona masculina en el entorno!!”
Trans: ”Here because its the only way to interview him(Sanchez) before the game Monday. There is lots of male hormone in this environment.”
Third Jets tweet, “Lo siento pero ni de broma sacaria una foto de esto!! Si ni volteo!! Solo veo el locker de Mark y me quisiera taparme los oidos!!”
Trans: ”I’m sorry, not even joking would I take a picture of this. I don’t even dare to turn around. I all I see is Mark’s locker but still want to cover my eyes.”
Fourth jets tweet, “Mision cumplida!! Mark Sanchez es una gran persona! Muy amable e inteligente!! Mañana pueden ver su entrevista en Ritual NFL!!”
Trans: ”Mission ccomplished(interview). Mark Sanchez is a great guy. He is smart and intelligent. You can see his interview tomorrow in Ritual NFL“
Based off the tweets while Sainz was waiting for Sanchez is when the shenanigans went down. She seems more embarrassed than offended, but you never know with just tweets.
McClain said this morning that the incident was instigated by Rex Ryan who encouraged several players including Jason Taylor to throw balls close to her.
The whistle-blower is the one to blame.
We're just responding to it. Don't go gettin' on our cases about it. We're just fed up with the fallout from this. So we're commenting on the absurdity of it all.
