Gregg Williams?
Turned the corner ? Yes. Implemented a brand new OLine in one year ? Absolutely not.Every team has drafted 10+ OLmen in that time frame.
Last draft turned the corner for them. 2016 they spent 4 picks including a 1st on OL and it didn't really work out. 2017 they spent a 4th on an OT who didn't make the team.

That all may be true but nevertheless the Colts have been in the process of rebuilding their Oline since 2011 to get to where they are today. The Colts drafted Costanzo to replace Glenn
The drafted Kelly a couple of yrs ago as an attempt to protect Luck. The also drafted Jack Mewhort high back then a couple of yrs ago and Haeg. Those guys have been hurt a lot and Mewhort retired.
Then because Luck was hurt they traded down and scored a bunch of draft picks. They hit on the top 3 picks in Nelson/Leonard/Smith. Putting those guys with the talent already on the roster means Luck is going to be well protected and that doesn't bode well for the rest of the division.

Replaced 2 in 2018 not 3 so that's a retention of 60 % from prior years.Replacing 3 in one offseason is basically a new OL and the reason they went from crap to great.

Just go check out a depth chart for the Colts and see what they did which is three of last years starters were drafted before 2018 (2015, 2016, 2011).
What are you being so f'ing argumentitive about, I'm not making it up, it's in the DC.
You'd like to think so but they got (Colts) the best OL prospect to come out of college in the last ten years and he is a monster already and still a rookie.Indianapolis was able to revamp and implement a brand new offensive line in one year. Last year they were horrible, this year they were awesome.
Texans should be able to do the same since they are so "aligned" right?
Ok I think you've finally got it - they have been putting their OLine together since 2011 because according to the DC that's when their current LT was drafted which makes him the most senior acquisition on the line.Every team drafts OL virtually every year. It's absurd to say they've been trying since 2011 just because that's the oldest guy. And Glowinski is a 1st year with the Colts FA from Seattle.
Tired of this '2-3 years away to fill all the holes' mantra. You don't need to fill every hole. Matt Friggin Stevens had a SB ring as a Patriots starter. You fill what you can and then coach to the strengths and away from the weaknesses.
And if Gaine doesn’t get an OC from outside the Org, his credibility is taking a hit.
Offseason needs:
1A. Offensive line
1B. Offensive Coordinator
2. Secondary
That's accurate, 3 years except for one position the Oline has turned over in 3 years and now who's line is better in the NFL ? Anybodies ?Maybe so, but they've really focused on fixing the OL in the last 3 yrs.

I know Nelson has turned to be a terrific NFL interior Olineman, but seriously isn't #6 overall still kinda steep for a guard SteelB ?
Not for a pro bowl level OG
Which Nelson will be.
I have watched them over their last few games. They are starting to gel as a unit as illustrated by their hot streak.Right next to Ryan Kelly an elite level center prospect .
No, His cred takes no hit whatsoever
Pro Bowl level ? Forget the pro bowl designation, the AP voted him all pro guard this year which is remarkable for a small market team like Indy for rookie to realize that achievment. I dunno don't you think all pro is much more impressive than pro bowl designation ?Not for a pro bowl level OG

How so? Staffing the coaches is the HCs job, your GM shouldn't have to step in to force a hire. If that's the case then you have a bigger problem than just needing an OC

A lot of personnel change would be required...
and he's a badboy

I pray Cal McNair makes a big move this offseason. Whatever it is probably won’t be big enough though, as ass jaw is still the HC. Hopefully he is targeting someone once the season comes to an end.We have been down this road before. McNair stepped in to hire Wade. Someone needs to step in and hire an OC.
The offense has never worked. And if it did, it was brief and not sustainable.
The big issue? The HC.
The team with the better coach, and better O-line won. Crennel at least made adjustments and shut the Colts offense down for the second half. O’Brien, on the other hand, did the same sh1t.11 wins with a team that wasn't that good to begin with.
Fact: The most talented team won Saturday.
Deal with it

Want it all you want, but O’Brien already said he wants the same coaching staff going forward. Hopefully that includes an OC though. I’m with you on that one...I do want BOB to get an OC and new OL coach next yr.
Peyton Manning
Adrian Peterson
Cj Anderson
Next thing you know Bill Belicick himself will want to be in H-Town.
Reevaluate what you just said.
You dont think more offensive line talent means a better performance?
We're talkin about OB here …. he leaves more talented players (TE's) sitting on the bench and has the most unimiaginative playbook in the league.
Yeah , I question whether more talent equals better performance.
The few that think BOB's a bully are the biggest bullies on this MB.
Is Gaine going to find OB some semblance of a competent offensive philosophy in the offseason? We've all seen OB's system and it isn't very impressive. This is where the differences begin and end.
Some dont even want to give BOB a chance with his guy in place.
A total double standard, but not really surprising after seeing how a few on this MB are.
The few that think BOB's a bully are the biggest bullies on this MB. (Not you) Most would just blw them off and leave the MB. What I've found works for me is limit what and how you respond to them.

I he problem with this is, O’Brien must feel “comfortable” with whoever they bring in. He’d rather bring one of his buddies in and they learn on the job over a guy that has been doing the job and has experience. OR, he’ll “just do it himself.” I like Brian Gaine and if his first draft ( in which he was handicapped) is any indication of things going forward, We are in good shape. He can’t confuse friendship with business, or he’ll be out the door along with O’Brien.I fully believe they need to bring in someone from outside this organization for the offensive side of the ball. Whether that be as an OC, or if they promote Ryan to OC as a QB coach. Just a fresh set of eyes, and fresh set of ideas to help with this offense.
It happens in all walks of life, and I'm sure many of you have experienced it before. You and a group are working on a problem, and are stuck. You know these people, you work well with these people, you have all solved many issues many times over but for whatever reason now yall are stuck. Then comes someone else from the outside, they look at it for a few moments and know how to solve it. Sometimes someone with a fresh line of thinking can find that missing puzzle piece and solve the problem

I don't feel a need to discuss the lack of talent on the Texans O. I've seen the same crappy play regardless of talent. OB is just not a very creative or innovative offensive mind.Tell me about the talent that started the playoff game and compare that to the talent the Colts have on the offensive side of the ball.

Of course you dont
2nd most points scored in franchise history.

Watson won 11 games on his own and BOB lost the other 6. Do I have that correct?

Nuk did his part
The idiot hasn’t learned that there are things that you won’t see on the practice field. Remember when Tom Savage was the better option in 2017 because of what he saw in the practice field? Then the rookie takes over and next thing you know the Texans have the highest scoring offense in the NFL.BoB just has a hard time trusting rookies. Maybe they’re not getting it done in practice.
BoB playbook is in the unique position of being complicated and unimaginative at the same time.

We're five years in with the same shitty ash results and people still talking about given that style of offense a chance.
