Ah...Durability is the sign of a great back and the stats speak for themselves. He might haven't been a great gamebreaker, but he is quite possibly the best powerback to every play the game. His YPC was 3.9 and in his last years he was put in on short yardage situations, but he was the picture of consistency, he picked up yardage four yards at a time and always picked up solid yardage.
He has also done everything to deserve a ring, in a time of selfish players, he put his team first and more than welcomed the idea of taking a back seat and pay cut and becoming a situational player to help his team win. Bettis was a great rb, teamate, and football player. I would love to have a football player like that on my team
