Texans release C Nick Martin

Why did they release him without at least considering one of @badboy's trade proposal?

Probably no one wanted that contract. He was receiving a top ten salary at his position and probably was the 3rd best center in his own division. Not worth taking that contract on when you can get similar play out of a guy for less money. You want him then let him hit the market and get a better deal than the idiotic one we signed him to.

What team wants a center that screws up a game winning snap?

I know. I should have put an emoji with my post. Just teasing BB with a trade proposal.

Good riddance! I’m excited to see who they pick up in FA or the draft. Caserio’s stock is rising...
We’ll probably slide Kelemente over.... wait a minute, he gone too.

I say we get OB back in the NFL at center now or anywhere on the line really.

It took us years to get OB out of the way... imagine if we applied that same principle to protecting the QB.

Seems like there’s been a lot of offensive cuts, the best unit on the team, and nothing going on on the atrocious defensive side.

Not that those cuts don’t need to be made, mind you.

Would be pretty funny if NC could release the entire defensive unit in one day rather then player by player, sparing WM of course due to the hit.

Sure you can.

Eat a big bacon cheddar burger........

Wrap a sheet around your bare chest and walk around kicking people out the door screaming "THIS IS SPARTA!"

Would distract from the media attention of Watson for 10 mins at least.

This put an image in my head I just can't stop laughing about. Thanks.

Not gonna' lie, not only am I liking Caserio more and more, but I think he's been trained to be cutthroat with rosters and deals in ways that we have not seen in H-town. :cutthroat:

That's what a GM is supposed to be .... heartless , no remorse , no empathy. What's best for our bottom line and that's it.
Leave that heart , remorse , empathy crap for the coaching staff.

Thank you but don't forget that after they cut Senio kelemete I commented that my messages must be coming into play and suggested Nick Martin should be next.

All on this board should be in awe of my inside contacts with the Texans and the value of my sources.

I do not want to say I am a genius but what the heck I am a genius.

Still want Tua after @CloakNNNdagger report on him Mr. Genius? :kitten:

Well Doc and I do not always agree on everything and while I do respect and appreciate his medical expertise both JJ Watt and Clowney remain in the game for longer than he and most others expected. Of course I'm not overlooking the deterioration of both players however you seem to be overlooking that I have not stated that Tua is going to be a 10 year starter at a franchise level. I am saying that at minimum for 2 million dollars he would be a veteran presence For this season. Again at minimum I think he is the perfect Bridge quarterback. If he has a healthy season and does better than most of us think he could be a QB while we develop a quarterback like Trey Lance.
