Overall I can't say I'm too disappointed in the loss, always prefer a win but you never win them all - and I still look at yesterday as a winnable game even though it looked like we were dominated clean up a few mistakes and could have been a different story.
For me coaching issues:
1) Joe Webb? He is our fourth receiving option? Why not Coates? Or Miller? Or an additional TE - at some point a guy 'who can do a lot' just means he isn't good at anything. I get versatile but this is a league of experts
2) How many hall of fame induction games does TY Hilton need to have against the Texans before we double him? Put Exlax in his Gatorade, something
3) Running the ball when you are behind and time running out in the 4th quarter, just doesn't make sense and you don't see it a lot across the league except for Bill
4) It isn't every first down - but it is a damn high % of first downs that we run, even when it hasn't worked all game, consistently putting your team in 2nd and +10 yards is hard to overcome
5) Just work in some things to slow the rush, move Watson outside the pocket, play action on 1st (especially since they sold out to stop the run on 1st downs)
6) On certain downs - GET TO LUCK - at all cost, can we jam a receiver? Do we know how to do that? Jam the receivers no quick timing throws, send everyone else after Luck do SOMETHING to try and get off the field on a 3rd down
Player issues:
1) Watson better learn he isn't superman stop dancing around trying to hit a home run every damn pass play, make a decision - throw the ball, run with the ball, or throw it away stop taking sacks unnecessarily if I was his oline I'd be pissed (and for the love of all you believe in stop waving the ball around like it's a magic wand - you ain't Harry Potter (yes I have kids))
2) I'm putting this one on the players and not the coaches read the blitz/pressure and do anything to help Watson out, break off your route go to a hot route something (yes I know Watson just missed some of these read point 1)
3) Nothing else to say on the players other than EXECUTE - at some point your players have to make plays - JD missed Luck at least twice (no need to mention the jump to end the game, bonehead) coaches can do this or that but players have to win THEIR battle
Not declaring the sky is falling here - Watson had a bad game they all do, Luck looked anything but Luck(y) last week, Brady, Rodgers, Ben they all have weeks where it looks like they are finished. Bounce back do better, don't go on a losing streak. To me that's what the good teams do, they lose a game here and there but rarely two/three in a row.
We all knew (mostly all knew?) the team has flaws, and are below average to downright bad at certain positions (CB's, OLine, RB, LB(?)) and they have done a pretty impressive job of winning in spite of those weaknesses again which IS what good teams do, no team is great everywhere.
