2018 Texans Player Transactions

Even our PS WRs are going down. Texans are signing WR Cyril Grayson to their practice squad and placing rookie WR Jester Weah on IR.

Said that from the beginning. But that's a common theme with the Texans.

Agreed I understand they wanted to take a chance on him, and that's fine he is a talented corner, arguably could have been the most talented on the team when fully healthy. But they should have at minimum placed him on the PUP list, and sat him out the same amount Foreman is sitting out.

Am I wrong in thinking the Texans brought in a lot of new faces to their medical staff this off season? Why are they still making the same mistakes?

The Texans have promoted DB Mike Tyson to the active roster.

...obligatory

The Bengals have signed TE Matt Lengel from the Houston Texans practice squad...............he's the only real blocking TE we had (Griffin has always been terrible at that, and the Jordans' blocking have left Watson exposed to too many hits).

had to look him (Lengel) up....

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed tight end Matt Lengel off the Houston Texans’ practice squad, the team announced Wednesday. This is a return to Cincinnati for the tight end.

Lengel (6-7, 266), a third-year player out of Eastern Kentucky University, entered the NFL as a college free agent signee of the Bengals in 2015. He spent the 2015 season and half of the 2016 season on Cincinnti’s practice squad. He also has spent time in the 2016 and ’17 seasons on the active rosters of the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns. He has played in six NFL games, with career regular-season totals of two catches for 22 yards and a touchdown.

Lengel spent this offseason with the Texans before being waived during final cuts. He later signed to the practice squad, where he has been since then.

The Bengals make this move after losing tight end Tyler Eifert for the season, while Tyler Kroft is dealing with a foot injury. Kroft’s injury is likely worse than expected as he re-entered Sunday’s game while dealing with the injury but was seen in a walking boot and moving around using a scooter in the locker room on Wednesday.

Monitoring the Halls: One Hall for another Hall...................Texans cut OLB Daeshon Hall in response to the activation of andre Hall.

Doc said Foreman's rehab is not going well.

I believe that I have mentioned on at least three occasions that the Texans would be better served by letting Foreman have the season to fully recover and rehab his injury. A lot of guys make it back from this injury but more than a few aren't what they were before the injury......I'm not sure but rushing him back from this type of injury could be counterproductive. I'd like to see a 100% healthy Foreman make the very best of his opportunity to return in 2019.

RB's?

Much much tougher as we all know. Kind of why I'm pushing for an inexpensive trade for Redskins RB, Samaje Perine. I'd offer a RD6 and see what happpens. Personally, if Perine gets traded, I think whichever team gets him.....gets a player with a chip on his shoulder.

lol at fans over reacting to a mid season practice squad signing and releasing. Last week it was "Why are we bringing in a RB when we need CB and OL help" now its "why are we releasing a RB when ours suck"
Churning a PS, just like churning the bottom of the active roster, is a positive sign that the GM is tirelessly active in seeking potential talent to contribute to the team.

The ironic thing is our RB core as a team had their best day rushing the ball just last week.

yup the extra motions seem to freeze the backers just long enough for us to get holes opened up for Miller and Blue. I know Coutee is out, but hopefully they still use Ervin in the end around to be a decoy enough to do the same against the Dolphins.
