Game 4...The Tacks...Tennessee Titans!

You guys seem reasonable.

In reality I think it will be a toss up. The Titans are on a roll and improved from what you saw last year. While the Texans seem to have gotten out of that early season funk.

If you want to have some fun, when you play the Jaguars check out www.duvalpride.com -- their forum site. The people there are another level of delusional.

After beating you guys week one the Jags fans were acting like they should be considered Super Bowl contenders. They pretty much gave the Titans no chance to beat the Jags. We all about "We have Calais Campbell now, you can't handle that" and "How are you going to stop Fournette" and crap like that. It was not "Smack" they actually thought these things. We would try and point out "Well, the Titans have a pretty good OL so it will be a little different" or "Well, the Texans were probably distracted by the flooding" and they would just laugh. Some were even upset the Jags were not top 3 in the power rankings. Going on about not getting respect from the national media.

This is pretty much close to being a must win. I mean, no game this early is a must win considering they could go on some 6 game winstreak or something int he middle of the season, but yeah, Texans need to win this to keep pace with the division.

Division game with the team that looks to be the team you will compete with for the division, I think it is close too

The only real thing I believe can be said about our division right now is the Colts will be in last place. Other than that, anything's possible as it normally is.

Do I see titans fans in here talking ****.....haha to funny. We got D Watson, you guys are fucked for many years to come.
After his second start, you're ready to anoint him as your franchise QB? At least he's mobile enough to not let that horrendous OL David Carr him I guess.

Are you ready to annoint Mariota as yours? Average QB that is heavily dependent on the run game.

I'd really like to see our defense play the way we all expected. I know we're missing Kjohns & Cushing, but I've been saying McKinney was ready to replace Cush for a couple of years & Kjax ain't chopped liver...

I'm interested to see Cunningham against a more physical offense like the Titans.

Have to make Mariota beat you.

On October 1st the Texans will take on the Titans at noon central time in NRG Stadium. The game will be aired live on CBS 11.
This Texans team under Deshaun Watson is getting better and better. That game against the Patriots came down to the wire and was unbelievable.
That said, Marcus Mariotta is playing pretty good himself.
The Texans defense limited the all powerful Tom Brady to 396 yards of total offense.
Watson produced 417 yards of total offense. The Texans lost by 3 points to the mighty Patriots.
All that being said, the Texans will take on the Titans at home.
The Titans are playing good football right now, but haven't gone against a defense the caliber of the Texans.
I don't see the Titans coming to our house and getting a win.
The Texans will take this game in a big way.
Margin of victory? 17 points.

Texans 34
Titans 17

GO TEXANS!!!
Well the Seahawks front 7 may not be the equal of ours but their DBackfield is better and the game is won in the trenches. Tacks oline is better than ours so it is going to be an interesting tussle.
It will be interesting to see how the Tacks react to this.
I do think Texans are better equipped to stop the run so will see how successful Mariota is at getting the ball to his receivers.
I am quietly confident the Texans will win this one - not just out of necessity, but because they will be looking to kill something after lasts weeks infuriating loss.
I say necessary here because if Titans win, we will be two games down on a division leader and they will likely have the countback in their favour if we're tied up at the end of the season and I don't know if this many losses this early in the season can be overcome by our boys - they will be pushing you know what uphill the rest of the season so the chances of a WC are not good.

This is the typical frenzy that people in Houston suffer from the minute a QB plays decent. I guess that's the behavior after never having a real QB in franchise history other than a year or two of Schaub. Watson is off to a nice start, but yeah it's pretty annoying seeing all this stuff about him after only 3 games totally forgetting how many failures have been through here and how many one year wonders have came through the NFL in the last 5 years that were mobile dual threat QB's that the league figured out quickly.

yes, yes we are, mariota will be better than watson in pretty much every way.

Watson was better in college and has already shown he can make some spectacular throws when counted on.

We will see, but I guess I don't see what Titan fans see in Mariota. He's shown to be a lesser Alex Smith thus far.

We have never gotten this excited before. I saw similar excitement after Case's KC game, but he never showed the game by game improvement that Watson already has. He was the best player in college for two years and showed he can do the same things in the NFL against the defending champs. If you aren't buying what he's selling already I would just deem you slow to the draw.

Don't get ahead of yourselves guys. He played decent against a horrid D. He will come back down to earth very soon against a Dick Lebeau Defense

Watson was better in college
here's a picture of mariota with his heisman trophy, making him the best player in college football:

Texans would cream their pants if they had a QB as good as Mariota.

They are practically creaming their pants over VY2.0 lol.

:spit: If three games in the NFL sells you that easily then bring it on, because those comments just make me laugh. I like Watson, and he is fun to watch. However, it's funny to see the same Houston fans falling in love right away with every starter that takes the field here. Are you forgetting what happened to guys like RG3, Kap, Luck, and even the inconsistency of Cam Newton? All of those guys had big years or even two, and then fell off bad. The fact that you think that Watson is already proven after 3 games when so many examples in this league would tell you to have faith with "caution" is pretty apparent. I haven't forgotten how many in here were in love with Tom Savage before the season. Fun stuff.

I know Watson's inaccuracy and inability to read several targets will eventually catch up to him, but it doesn't have to happen in this game. All you're doing is getting us fired up.

That's where you are wrong. We would cream our pants if we had your OL. Thankfully we do not have your QB right now who has shown in three years that he can't win without a run game.

You sound like a beaten dog.

Are you just talking smack, or do you really believe this?

I truly hope our run game develops apart from Watson so he doesn't have to be Superman to win games. Allow him time to learn the game, read defenses, set protections... so when the day comes & we don't have a run game he can be Superman.

You are only as good as your last game .....

Dude read below my name.....TBH i'm not watching anymore games this year anyways. Will only watch highlights the day after, but I can still serve Koolaid !!!

Talking smack. I like Mariota, but I don't think he will ever be in the top echelon of QB's.

Are we really debating about the Tacks, who haven't won a playoff game in who knows how long and its been what, like 8 years since they were relevant at all? When Mariota actually wins the AFC South and makes the playoffs, then you can come back in here running your dirty little mouths, until then sit down, shut up and watch the real men go to work.

I think TN poses a lot of problems for Houston this week. It is rare for Houston's best strenght to be be neutralized by a teams best strength. TN has shut out the reigning defensive MVP and two elite defenses in the last two weeks. I think Houston has a great DL but your defense is a shell of itself in the back 7. You've taken heavy losses and TN is a lot better because they no longer have to rely on ground and pound. No one on the Texans is better than Sherman or Thomas and Mariota made some elite level throws against them last week and Sea DL is as good as Houston and Mariota was no sniffed last week. I will also remind you Jax hit your QB's a lot week one. Jax DL did not touch Mariota week two. Watt has had good success against TN in the last but he has not faced these two tackles yet and he has hardly faced Mariota yet either.

I think Mariota is going to be the key in this game and not the run game. I fully expect Houston to sell out to stop the run like they did against Fournette. But Mariota is not Bortles and your secondary and LBer's are no the quality they have been in years past. TN top pick in Davis the WR is returning this week and I am seriously looking forward to how Hopkins does against Adorre Jax who has been playing lights out. Moreover, Adorre is just waiting to break a KR or PR. This one has the looks of a fun game to watch but Watson has to elude a serious pass rush. Wilson is elite and played lights out but he was hammered in this game and Hosuton OL is not elite.

I like Watson a lot and I believed he should have been the first QB taken but he will be under duress this week and if he gets behind early this one might get wild. Good luck and I hope there is no injuries. I will be at the game.

Odds A$AP Jackson houses one against the Cows? They've got to be good odds considering how many times Houston is going to have to punt.

Interesting information. I think Watt is about to make it number 5. He appears to have lost a bit of that preinjury explosiveness.

Well Bortles did play better against the Texans than Mariota did if you judge their last games against the Texans.

Texans defense starts off slow every year under Vrabel/Rac. We have heard it 4 years in a row from other trolls who come in here. At the end of the day we were the number one defense without JJ Watt last year. Tom Brady just got sacked 5 times. That hasn't happened in the regular season since 2015.

Not sure where this guy is getting his numbers.

2017
JAX - 1TD/1INT 78.5 rating

2016
JAX - 1TD/0INT 72.7 rating
IND - 2TD/0INT 106.3 rating
JAX - 2TD/0INT 148.1 rating
HOU - 0TD/1INT 54.1 rating

That is 6 TD's and 2 INT's, and there is no way that he is still at 100.6 for a rating with two sub 80's and a sub 60.

EDIT: He is also 2-3 in these 5 games

EDIT AGAIN: For those that want to know his career stats against the AFC South

Record- 3 wins 6 losses (he has already missed four division games in his career)
13 TD's and 5 INT's
22 sacks
