2014 Texans Talk Mock Draft SELECTION

With the 9th pick the Buffalo Bills select:

Jake Matthews - OT - Texas a&m

Bills are all in on E.J. Manuel. An upgrade at RT was needed. Also seriously considered another weapon for E.J.

With the 10th pick in the TT mock draft the Detroit Lions select Darqueze Dennard CB Michigan St.

Dennard was my #1 ranked bump and run CB in this draft and certainly helps a secondary badly in need of talent.

With Verner leaving, the Titans need to do someone to step in.

The Titans can go a lot of different directions with this pick.

This was a tossup for me. I like them both equally but figured with the lions Man to man style that Dennard would be a better fit. No real suprises so far except Mosley went so high. Which I thought was a great pick TS.

The Titans are sitting in a sweet position at this pick. Gilbert/Dennard, Lewan/Martin, Evans/Lee... lots of ways they could go. And if someone like Matthews or Barr drops...

I hate seeing the Titans get good talent.

I fear you're right on this one. That's been in the back of my mind for some time. I hope the Texans are able to get back up to speed quickly. I'm sure they will, I just don't know how soon.

I think one of the QB's (not necessarily Manziel) will fall a bit in the real draft. Probably not out of the top 20 though because I believe a team will trade up to snag whoever it is.

I think the clock ends at 7pm so he's probably safe until it starts up again tomorrow morning.

Unfortunate that it hit this snag right at the deadline. We were really just starting to hit a groove. Would hate to see this go into limbo and be halted for so long.

If you were Rick/BOB would you trade 2-1 and a 2015 1st for JM?

Clowney at 1-1 and Manziel at 1-20 would give you the 2 most dynamic players in this draft.

I wouldn't do this deal.

No, but I'm also down on Manziel. I would think about it if it was Bortles or Bridgewater though unless I was already planning on taking Garoppolo, Mettenberger, Carr, etc at 2-1.

I wouldn't either for any QB in this draft. I highly doubt we are low enough in the draft order next year to make that trade worthwhile.

When does selection officially open tomorrow? I doubt it'll be either of my two turns (Baltimore and Miami) by tonight.

Not a bad idea when you look at it from any angle. Rams are in a great situation in this draft, especially when you factor in that they may be able to trade out of #2 again.

Think your Brownies might think about moving up for JM if he were to fall?

Bradford sure would look good in lil Shanny's offense and I believe the Browns still have the cap space?
 
Manziel to the Rams is an intriguing selection.

Feels like a bit of a luxury pick but the team is pretty solid as is and Manziel's ceiling could be higher than Bradford's.
