Carolina Panthers @ Houston Texans. 12/18. 12 CST. FOX. **Official GameDay Thread**

Not Yates fault. He is a rookie and Kubes made him do all the work today. He should b passing mayb 18 times all day. RUN THE BALL MORE

Sorry, but I don't buy that. TJ is not able to consistently play in pressure situations. That is evident here and all on TJ. I'm not hating on him, it's a tough situation he's been thrown into and it's getting exposed today at HOME and really killing future home field.

Exactly why foster should b carrying the load

****. No watching NFLN or ESPN this short week.

I choose to look at the bright side, Family Feud style.....

Name two teams you would like to play after a disappointing loss *buzzer*

Indianapolis!

Is there Indianapolis up there?! DING!

Yes! Numder one answer! Pass or play.....PLAY!

Ummmm, how about Tennessee?

Is Tennessee on the board??

DING!

You win!

Agree, we aren't going too deep into the playoffs with him.

All went to **** after Arian's fumble.

The pessimism and kneejerk bullshit on this board is going to be awful this week. Might have to stay away so I dont feel the urge to slaughter an animal or four.

If nothing else, T.J. is getting a pretty harsh reality check today. I hope he, Schaub, and Kubes spend some time in the film room next week. He's got a lot to learn and after today, we shouldn't have to worry about early success getting to his head.

As for the defense, I think I would rather have Wade's brain in a jar with a headset than Reggie Herring. The drop off is evident.

Atleast it looks like GB will lose and that should over shadow our loss on ESPN. Not like we get much coverage anyway

Well time for the team to come back down to earth. They have been flying high for the past 7 games. Gotta regroup and refocus and get ready for the Colts on Thursday. Winning the next 2 would be good momentum going into the playoffs.

Yeah drop off indeed is evident. Wade is the man for sure.

Let them drive down and score an easy TD, then throw an INT when you're on the 1, then let them run out the clock to end the game.

UGLY ending

Our team better be getting the reality check. They are not so good that they can look past anybody.

Kubiak didn't make him do all the work today. The pathetic running game in the first half put more on Yates shoulders than anything. This is the second week in a row we've come out unable to run the ball to start the game. I could understand it against Cincinnati but it's not like Carolina is a defensive juggernaut. The line/backs aren't getting it done early and that's causing a lot of problems.

Well, seems like the day of the ending streaks. GB are probably losing, we are probably losing, the Colts are probably winning - and later today NE will beat DEN...

Yep.

People need to understand a bad day is going to happen eventually. The team tried to fight back into this game, too many silly TOs will beat you everytime no matter who you are playing. Penalties also hurt us a lot.

I just hope this team understands that if they play disciplined and focused they are going to beat most teams they play.

We blitzed a lot today, or so it seemed. Got burned at the end. D wasn't impressive at all but the O looked way wonky today.

Good reality check though.

If this don't wake 'em up, I don't know what will.
and now we gotta go up to Indy - where we have yet to win - on a short week.
:toropalm:

I don't know what upsets me more. The loss, or the fact that I now have to root for Tebow.

I can't root for Tebow. I don't care if a Bronco's win was needed to put the Texans in the postseason. I want the Tebow-mania to go away so bad I'd hurt my own teams chances just to make it happen.

What a horrible thought rooting for Tebow. It was going to happen anyway, but I hate it. Maybe I'll just watch a movie and check the scores later.

TJ made some mistakes, sure. But why didn't the gameplan include getting the ball vertical early? That's TJ's game: Vertical.

I stated before that this could be a classic trap game. I just didn't figure the gameplan would include moving away from what the Texans do best.

i want to see more ben tate thursday. long throws. we can really push yates against the colts. and titans try to get him some good training before playoff i dont care if we lose the next 2 he needs to get used to playing on an nfl level.

I can't stand him either, but dude, come on!

Yeah I know. I like the kid, but I am a Browns fan also. Rooting for them is against my religion. Not to mention Tebowmania and ESPN kissing his ass every day.

TJ Yates has to start making smarter decisions. If this team wants a chance to actually do something in the playoffs then Yates has to start improving.

Hopefully this game gets them re-focused. I'm trying to look on the bright side and hope that after the huge high last week that we were bound to have one game where we just played flat. If we come out flat against Indy then I'm going to be really worried.

Funny how things work out. In 2003 we beat the Panthers here in what was widely regarded as a trap game when they were on their way to the Super Bowl. Now we lose to them here in a trap game going the other way.

And Jake Delhomme is on our roster this time, not theirs.

I have to admit I feel pretty much the same way.

Yeah I know. I like the kid, but I am a Browns fan. Rooting for them is against my religion. Not to mention Tebowmania and ESPN kissing his ass every day.

I'll jut hope for good defensive game.

I detest Tebow mania as well. It's so bad, I'm pretty sure Skip B!tchless would let Tim make him scream God's name.

Let's hope we end up in the same spot they did. Except for the end result.

Isn't it funny- not ha ha but odd - that the older you get. the more you notice the circular nature of things. I'd just as soon not have noticed this one.:toropalm:

Nope. It's hate and I don't compromise on hate. When I hate something I hate it absolutely. The closest I could come would be to root for Tebow to be decapitated in the first quarter and then for Brady Quin to come in and have a career day. That's about it.

The win would probably still be considered a genuine "Tebow Miracle".

Funny thing about TebowMania.

This week on ESPNs pregame show, they dedicated an entire 30 mins to Tebow. Seriously.

I hope the guy pulls it out today. I really want that first week bye. Especially with Andre's injury another week off can only help.

I don't care how much mentoring is done with TJ, film watching, and practice - TJ is NOT going to be pretty in the playoffs.

And you know this how? In all due respect, but earlier you were calling for Jeff Garcia to enter the game, and you didn't even realize that the geezer's not even suited up today.

I take it you probably knew the Packers were gonna lose to KC today, too, huh?

Skip is a numb nuts. He has pics of Tebow and Romo naked im sure.
