Gary Kubiak Press Conference

I haven't seen that many fastballs coming from the Astros bullpen. Good on the Houston press corps. They were bringin da heat! :evilb:

Someone must have hidden the :koolaid: pitcher.

Easy to throw fastballs at what looks to be a 7th place hitter who is down in the game by 6 or 7 runs.

McGobbler told him about the breakdown of the long play at the end of the game that Dungy broke down last night on Football Night in America. Gobbler told him that they said he was in the wrong position and that he should have never given up the outside. Kubiak said he had no idea about the show, but he said that he was in the right coverage. He said he was supposed to be playing the inside.....which is fukin' retarded! Why give up the outside? That statement right there just solidified that he has no idea what he's doing!

Even when I watched the replay right after it happened, I wondered WHY IN THE NAME OF SAM HILL are we allowing a route like that to happen? These QBs and WRs always get the WR between the CB and the Safety and nail the soft spot almost every time. Because they know the CB will pass off the WR to the Safety and they know that our Safety is slow to react and get there.

That wasn't a prevent coverage, IMO. That was normal coverage. Just a series before that, IIRC, Sanchez almost hit Edwards on a similar play. I think they said, "Let's try it again. They'll be playing the middle of the field," BINGO!

The only questions that matter to me are the ones that get real answers. I don't give a **** what Gary is doing to re-focus the team. I don't even know what that means. I want to know what actual changes he is going to make, scheme, coaching, players, and how he expects to fix our problems.

Of course, I know he doesn't have any answers to those things, so to be honest press conferences are kinda pointless. There is nothing I can learn from listening to Kubes in a presser that I don't already know after watching him for 5 years.

Yes, it is pointless. Which is why the reporters (who have been treated like imps by Kubiak and Rick Smith for the past four years) are smelling blood in the water and are beginning to see the end of the road for Kubiak.

So they gotta' be calculating, IMO, and they gotta' work the pitch count and get Kubiak to bite on a certain pitch because of all the ones they threw before the final pitch.

I don't buy into the idea that Kubiak will NEVER say something out of turn. I think he's like any other man out there. He's got his breaking point. And he thinks he and Rick Smith have got the reporters on a leash, and now that leash has been gnawed through and the dogs are starting to see they can run around again.

At this point, I just want to see them BREAK Kubiak to the point that he fires off an emotional tirade at them. I want to see Kubiak say things he shouldn't. I want him to see that this whole thing he has built is a sham and a fraud and now he has to defend it.

It's all I want for Christmas: BREAK Kubiak. Bring in Ivan Drago. BREAK HIM.

Well... that's kind of creepy. I don't know why you want to see that.

If I disliked Kubiak personally I would perhaps want to see him broken.... well actually probably not, I don't really get pleasure out of seeing that kind of thing.

So I dunno. I'd just like to hear him tell the truth, which is that he isn't actually doing anything to change things because he doesn't know what to do and he is afraid of making a bold move.

I think McNair and Smith should be researching possible new DC hires. Kubiak doesn't need to be thinking anything about that right now. He needs to be worrying about the Titans and then the remaining 5 games. He's got to work with what he's got RIGHT NOW and finish this season with 6 wins, 1 at a time. You don't do that if the HC is spending his time looking for the next DC.

Eh. I think that's a little extreme. What's the point of seeing him going off on a tirade?

I will say this, though: Kubiak's astrological sign is Leo. Leo's are stubborn, but definitely have a breaking point. We're extremely loyal and welcoming, but, if you push us too far, all hell will break loose.

What the he** was Kubiak expecting? Gary, you've lost 4 in a row! You were expected to be in the playoffs! You've got a monumentally BAD Defense!

Fix it or resign. If you don't feel any pressure for your job, then you aren't aware enough of your surroundings to be an effective coach.

I stopped listening to the 5:00 Kubiak show because I don't want to hear it anymore . It doesn't matter what he says the bottom line is they lose because of coaching and some talent decisions that have bit them in the butt .

Is it all on K&S ... nope ... Bob hasn't installed a climate of " you better win " . Look how long he kept crazy 8 and he wanted to keep him after the 2-14 season but marketing said they couldn't sell anymore of his jerseys . :bubbles:

This group is clueless.

And it all starts at the top. Boob McNair is the love child of Ward Cleaver and Fred Rodgers. He would make a great campfire girl leader, or maybe the new Mr Whipple. He's as soft as a babys bottom and produces the same results.

I just think he's a phony and a liar.

Nobody is THAT dense, not even Kubiak. He is prideful, arrogant, and he had the reporters scared to death (he along with Rick Smith) when we started turning the franchise around and winning games and putting up numbers...all of that allowed Rick Smith and Kubiak to just walk all over anybody who dared to question or throw out a tough question.

As much as I dislike Richard Justice, he was the one guy who was hammering Rick Smith and not playing along with the regime a few years back. At the time, we thought Justice was just spit-ballin' and being a cartoon to get the clicks. Maybe he still IS a bit of a turd, but man oh man what I wouldn't give for Richard Justice to come to the mound and throw some high heat and chin music at Kubiak.

Kubiak is a fake. Deep down inside, he KNOWS the answers. He knows his failures, and he knows the failures of those aruond him. But he's trying to play it cool. Trying to continue the "Aw shucks," angle.

And the reporters are throwing caution to the wind now. They understand this guy is getting exposed, via the on-the-field failures, and so they're pulling back the curtain on the Great and Powerful Oz.

The right combination of events can cause Kubiak to explode. I just want him to embarass himself for what we've all had to go through with trying to back the guy and believe in him and yet he won't make the moves he knows he ought to make.

I don't care about Gary Kubiak, the person. All I know is Gary Kubiak the head coach. That's what he chose. He chose this. And I don't think he's treating it with the respect that his players and us fans deserve. He's being casual and aloof with his handling of this team. Trying to act like everyone else is losing their head but he is too cool for school, etc. , etc. Pfftt...whatever.

Get Wild Thing up there on the mound, and throw the chin music at him.

True. Maybe that is it. The blood is in the water and they no longer fear their press credentials getting revoked.

Oh I know that's it. It definitely is it.

This is like a dictator watching his people revolt, slowly at first, and knowing that in the very near future he's going to have to run away. Quickly.

Up until now, Rick Smith and Kubiak have been able to frame the image of this team and frame the public perception of Kubiak, due to scolding and shaming the reporters when the reporters are just doing their due diligence.

I mean, it was becoming clear that you better pay the piper if you want to keep playing ball with Kubiak during the pressers.

So the reporters have sat back and have played ball. They've thrown him meat pitches, the type that he hits out of the park.

Until today.

Now? Well, the reporters have some cover. They know that Kubiak's failures this season are beginning to show on TV. It's given them cover.

Good for them. I'm needing another embarassing, pathetic loss in the next game, and some more TOUGH questions for Kubiak. You guys have to believe, at this point, that there's no rescuing the Kubiak ship. The hull is breached. The ship is going down.

Nobody here needs to try and act like a saint, as if you still gotta' be a kind person and express "hope" that this Titanic is able to make it to port. It's not going to. It's going down.

4-6 is our record. Think about that for a second, then remember last season and the cream puff schedule Kubiak squandered. Look at how long he let Foster sit on the PS. I know Foster was "hurt" at the beginning of the year, but the fact remains that Kubiak is a slow starter. He probably inches his way into the cold pool during the summer, instead of jumping in all the way.

This ship is lost. So some people gotta' stop the fakeness.

Actually, I don't think Kubiak does know the answers.

I agree that he has to know his failures as well as others but I think he is lost as far as finding a solution is concerned. Be it because of loyalty, stubbornness, or just plain inability to "get it" or all of the above.

He is such a perfectionist, I don't think it is possible for him, after all the study and research he does to realize any other possibilities. He wears blinders.

Fix it or resign. If you don't feel any pressure for your job, then you aren't aware enough of your surroundings to be an effective coach.

and the beginning of the season, talk was that they want to take the AFC South because no one is going to give it to them..

a few weeks later, they are ho hum, we will treat the Cowboys game as just another game and they got their asses handed to them and it has been downhill ever since

Someone please call in and ask how bad a player Molden is that he can't get on the field and therefore why does he still have a roster spot?

Why do you guys even care what Kubiak will say.

He will say the say thing that he has been saying for the past 5 years. He will not throw a player or a coach "under the bus", no matter how badly they coach or play.

We will have to wait till the day of or after the last game of the season to see what McNair will do.

I'm apathetic about Kubiak's perspective. He will NEVER give us insight. He will ALWAYS play his cards close to his chest and give rah rah stuff to his players. And we will most likely be stuck with this crap for another year. Like Groundhog Day.

Morning show on 790 today had a great point. They said these players will play hard for Kubiak simply because they wouldn't be in the NFL if not for Kubiak. Many of them really are that bad of talent, so they have to play hard for Kubiak just to still be in the NFL. And that is their motivation, which is kinda' sad, and really pathetic, but probably closest to the truth as you're gonna' get.

Sounds like a good press conference in that they pushed him a little bit.

I would love a recap.

Transcript anyone?

Here ya go! Enjoy!

Texans head coach Gary Kubiak met with the media on Monday afternoon at Reliant Stadium. The following is a transcript of his interview.

Head coach Gary Kubiak
(on Football Night in America criticizing the coaching for CB Jason Allen’s positioning on the 42-yard pass to WR Braylon Edwards) “I don’t know anything that happens on these shows, so obviously you know more than I do. We’re playing two-man. He was not supposed to be on the outside. He’s working his inside hip. We’re in trail all the way, but we’ve got to stay with him. Obviously, as a safety we can keep our width and not get so involved with the inside routes, so we can play the coverage better. I don’t know what they’re talking about.”

(on the positioning of CB Brice McCain on the four-yard touchdown pass to Braylon Edwards and leaving the middle open) “We’re in a zero-coverage. You’re right. We should take away the inside. No, there’s no way we should get beat on a slant right there, so we’ve got to get that fixed. That’s our fault as coaches.”

(on the same positioning error with CB Brice McCain on the 41-yard touchdown pass to WR Santonio Holmes) “No, we’re in man coverage right there. He’s got help in the middle of the field. We’re in a totally different coverage. Brice is supposed to be playing his leverage the way he played it. He just needed to play it tighter and play his hip better. That’s two totally different plays and two totally different coverages.”

(on how he can justify keeping defensive coordinator Frank Bush right now) “Because I believe in him. I think we played much better defense yesterday. I think if we finished the game yesterday, we’d be talking about how much better we were. There were a lot of good things that went on. I believe in the guy. That’s why he’s here with me. We’ll figure out a way to get it done.”

(on the improved pass rush yesterday and if there is any defensive back playing well right now) “First off, yesterday was the best we’ve rushed the passer all year long. Probably the thing we did which wasn’t good, was we had about four or five chances, where we’ve got to get ourselves, body-wise, in better position to finish the play and sack the quarterback. We even had two opportunities in the last four plays. We were very active up front. As far as the back end, yesterday, I thought (CB) Kareem (Jackson) played better on the back end. There were a lot of good things that went on back there. You give up a couple plays late in the game and it negates everything that you did positive. It’s the same thing. If you get beat, it goes back to the two or three negative things that you did. When you don’t win, it’s not good enough by everybody, but there were some guys doing some good stuff.”

(on people saying he didn’t even want to score a touchdown following the interception and that’s why they continued to run the ball) “We want to score a touchdown every time we run a play. We ran our three best four minute, two-tight plays, where we tighten down the formations. We’re trying to make sure we stay in bounds. The goal was to make them use their timeouts. The other goal, obviously, is if we can score, we want to score. I think we did everything we possibly wanted to do there other than the fact we didn’t score a touchdown. We made them use their timeouts. We gave them the ball back with 49 seconds. We’re up by four. We should win that game.”

(on FS Eugene Wilson’s positioning QB Mark Sanchez’s deep pass to WR Braylon Edwards to set up the game-winning touchdown) “We just need to keep our width better. I don’t think anybody is out there trying to do something wrong. We need to play better from both perspectives, from a corner and safety. The kid made a tremendous throw. He made a great play, give them some credit. Nobody is out there trying to make that mistake. I know (FS) Eugene (Wilson) and he’s not trying to either.”

(on what FS Eugene Wilson said to him after the game regarding that play) “Not much, other than the fact that we need to get wider and blow it up and stop the play.”

(on why DE Mario Williams hasn’t showed up like a big-time player since the Washington game) “I disagree with you. I don’t think it’s been since Washington. (DE) Mario (Williams) has been consistent. Mario gets doubled, tripled. He gets battled all the time. He sees a lot of variations for people to stop him. I think his effort has been consistent. His play has been consistent. Obviously, it shows up more yesterday because of sacks, but I think Mario gives us what he’s got week in and week out. Anytime you’re not getting it done, everybody can do something better and that would include Mario.”

(on why they are giving up more yards passing than last year) “I could sit here and give you all kind of—there’re no excuses. We’re obviously struggling back there. Statistically, that’s where we’re struggling so people attack us that way. It’s like the Jets yesterday. They’ve got a 23-10 lead and we’ve got them backed up and they come out throwing. That actually gets us back in the football game. In this league, when you’re struggling in one area, that’s where people come after you. That hasn’t changed. That’s the way I see it right now.”

(on if he has considered going up tempo the entire game) “I look at the start yesterday and we had three possessions in the first quarter. I could be wrong. You know the stats better than I do. I think we had the ball at the 5, 19 and 22 (yard lines) and so we had poor field position. We got the ball out of the hole a couple times. We did flip the field and got them pinned on their end a couple times. When you’re playing a team that good defensively and of that caliber, that’s okay. Would I like to score 28 points in the first quarter? You bet. We did a couple things that got the field position flipped the way we wanted it. We got a big drive against them and took the lead 7-3. We had a chance to make a huge play in the second quarter that I know (WR) Kevin (Walter) would love to have back. It could’ve been a big play in the game. This team has given up, I think, 71 points in the first nine games in the first half, so it’s a pretty good football team. You can’t get frustrated. At the end of the day, you’ve got to find enough to win the game. We moved the ball pretty good and over the course of the third quarter, we had seven snaps, but we found a way to score 27 points. We should find a way to win the game. You’re always looking for more when it’s not enough.”

(on why a timeout wasn’t called as time wound down in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Jets) “I should have (called a timeout). I wanted us to spike the ball. I was trying to get that relayed to (QB) Matt (Schaub), to spike the ball. There would have been about 11 seconds left, we would have had a timeout left. The ball was on the 40 or 41. I was not going to try a field goal from there because I thought the ball wasn’t carrying that way, which was evident when their kicker kicked the field goal. I would have loved to have the timeout and the 11 seconds to run another play but we didn’t get that done, so I wish I would have called it.”

(on the television graphic shown during the game regarding Houston’s two-minute offense being 0-for-14 on the season) “I’ll have to go back and look at that. But I don’t think that’s right.”

(on if QB Matt Schaub suffered any setbacks with his knee injury) “No. He was very gutsy. He missed practice, a lot of time, and had a swollen knee. We were playing against a hell of a group. I thought we protected him very good; the only sack was right before the half. I liked our plan, the way we went about protecting our quarterback yesterday against this time because that’s how you really get in trouble. He hung in there. I thought he did a good job, gave his team a chance to win.”

(on the progress of TE Owen Daniels’ injury) “You know, we’ll see. We’ll see when we take back to the field Wednesday. He was pushed a lot last week. We’ll see how he comes out of that going into this week. Hopefully we can get him back, but obviously we’re going to do what’s best for him.”

(on whether or not WR Andre Johnson was open against the Jets) “They (the New York Jets) do a good job. Like I said, they got two guys that can match up with him. They not only played us in a great deal of man and two-man, but when they did play us in man, they cheated the safety toward (WR) Andre (Johnson). So it made it very difficult. I mean, I have got to do everything I can to try and find a way to for him to touch the ball in those situations. So I can do a better job than I did yesterday. They’re a good group. Our receivers were challenged all day to beat man coverage. But our tight end stepped up and was huge in the game. Somebody else has got to step up and make a play and (TE) Joel Dreessen played very well.”

(on what he would tell fans who have given up on the Texans’ season) “I would tell them that we sure as hell aren’t giving up. There is a lot of football left to play. We’re two games behind in our division. We’re going to play a bunch of division games. We get ready to go play again this week; a big game against Tennessee here at home. We got a lot of things that happened yesterday that we need to hang onto. But in some tough situations, I’ve got to do a better job. I’ve got to figure out a way. I’ve got to put us through every possible situation I can in practice so we can handle some of these things better. So that’s what I’m concentrating on right now. The effort is good. Obviously, we need a win with the effort.”

(on the play of CB Jason Allen against the Jets and his plan for Allen going forward) “Well, he played 40-something plays. We’ve only had him eight days, so that’s a big, big challenge for (defensive backs coach) David (Gibbs) and (senior defensive assistant) Ray (Rhodes) and (defensive backs assistant coach) Perry (Carter), to get a kid ready to play that many plays in an eight-day period of time. But I thought he came in and did a good job. We got to go talk about the end of the game there and just staying with your coverage right there and staying in his pocket. But for a short period of time, I think the guy helped us and should help us even more in the future.”

(on words of encouragement he has offered to defensive coordinator Frank Bush) “Well, I thought he came down and handled the group very well. I thought we re-grouped better yesterday and I think that has a lot to do with (defensive coordinator) Frank (Bush) being down there. After they went down and scored, and we got beat in the zero coverage that time, Frank calmed them down on the sidelines. He kept them going and we made big plays on defense to get us back in the game. The one fumble gave us a chance and of course, the interception, which we thought had a chance to close the game. So, I thought he had it under control very well. There were a lot of good things going on but the last 49 seconds were not good enough. I’ll keep Frank going. Frank works very hard. These players will keep him going. We’ll get it fixed.”

(on if it was his decision to bring defensive coordinator Frank Bush out of the coaches’ box and onto the sideline against the Jets) “It was just to do something different. We needed to do something different with our guys. I think we need to continue to do that. I don’t know what that’ll be this week or next week, we’ll see. But I think anything that we try to get better at something, and our business is always about trying to improve; I’ve got to improve this team in situations, situational football at the end of (the) game. I have to figure out a way for us to handle those situations better. So, start by looking at myself.”

(on if Eugene Wilson will continue to start at free safety) “Yeah, he will. We’re playing (S) Troy (Nolan) more. I think Troy played 30 plays yesterday; he played a lot of special teams. Yeah, (FS) Eugene (Wilson) will stay back there and like I said, Eugene did do a lot of good things yesterday. But everybody is contributing, everybody is playing.”

(on the play of LBs Brian Cushing, Kevin Bentley and Darryl Sharpton) “That’s the best the group has played. (SLB Brian) Cushing obviously went back to his spot, (he) has factored a lot more. (MLB) Kevin Bentley gets better every week. I thought he played exceptional yesterday as a veteran player in really leading our group. (WLB Darryl) Sharpton got an opportunity, an unforeseen opportunity, he took advantage of it. He’s going to play a great deal; he deserves the opportunity to go back out there and play some more.”

(on if he thinks the players still believe in this season) “You know, our job is to win. Our job is to win football games; it’s very difficult right now on players, coaches, everybody, families, fans, you guys (the media). It’s very difficult on everybody. All you do, is you work hard, keep pushing, keep battling at what you’re doing. I’ve told you guys over and over again that our players are great. They work extremely hard. They work extremely hard in here, extremely hard on the field and I know they will continue to do that and we will do so.”

(on if he is worried about losing his job) “I told you all before, I never worry about myself. We’ve to a lot of players, coaches, people to worry about; I don’t worry about myself.”

(on if he’s worried about the coaches he’s hired) “That’s what I said. I worry about a lot of other people, I don’t worry about myself.”

(on if he has had a chance to look at the Tennessee Titans) “No. I don’t really know much about their situation right now. Obviously, the things I’ve heard today regarding injuries and that type of stuff, so I don’t know. I’m just getting started on it.”

(defensive backs coach) David (Gibbs) and (senior defensive assistant) Ray (Rhodes) and (defensive backs assistant coach) Perry (Carter),

wow 3 coaches

somebody needs to tell Kubiak that the season is a sprint, not a marathon

(on if he is worried about losing his job) “I told you all before, I never worry about myself. We’ve to a lot of players, coaches, people to worry about; I don’t worry about myself.”

Why would he be worried about losing his job?

He's going to have one whether it's with the Texans or somebody else . . .

. . . unless he does something stupid, like throw somebody inder the bus.

need to photoshop a Texans logo on the button of the hand dryer so one can hear the press conference (and I didn't want to post the political pic)
xdry006.jpg

Maybe he should of thought about that before hiring all his buddies, instead of the ones best suited for the job.

I think his buddies have done an admirable job.

Frank Bush turned this defense around in 2009 & we actually had a defense that ranked in the top half of the league, & top 10 in an actual stat.. never before then.

He's having difficulty dealing with adversity.... a couple of decisions that appear to have been made in haste (with hindsight & all).

Rick Dennison has also helped us put an explosive running game on the field... week 11, & we've got the leagues leading rusher... I don't think that has happened before. Also the league leading TD scorer...

We're 4-6, finding new ways to lose. But the season isn't over, they're trying new things, they're playing better in spurts, they haven't quit...

I don't think we should either.

Can you tell me what he's done so far to fix "our" problem?

I like to listen to the press conferences because I like to hear how he handles those situations.... tells a lot, I think about how he handles the locker room & the team.

You make valid points here, but what on earth happened to the defense?

when picking out a defensive staff, here is a picture on the floor of Gary and Bob's office.. low ceilings baby, low ceilings

You make valid points here, but what on earth happened to the defense?

I wish I could sit down with Kubiak or Frank or just someone on the team. To me, it looked like they understood last year our weakness was pass defense. I think they made some poor decisions to try to fix that, decisions we've seen as far back as the preseason.

It looks as if we went to the defense we thought Frank Bush saved us from, a read then react defense. Basically letting the offenses tell us what they want to do.

We used to tell them they won't run the ball, & when we got them one dimensional, we'd mop up.

Since we're playing back, watching what is going on, then reacting to what's happening, it's easier to get us on our heels & reeling.

I think they also believed they had to "take care of" KJack.... I think that was a mistake. With Cushing out, the remaining guys weren't "good enough" to do someone else's job as well as their own. KJack was going to get burned regardless... "helping" him hurt us all over the field.

If they go back to playing the way we did last year, which they did for the most part yesterday, downhill, attacking the line, havoc in the backfield........ 4 Qtrs (which we had problems with last year).

But they've had one bad thing after another happen since the season started, & we're barely getting our feet under us.

Offense can't score 30 every night, I know that. But it would have been nice if they weren't struggling as well. Then we could have won a few more games by now.

I think yesterday may have been our best defensive effort of the year. We still looked awful in the back end but at least we were flying around the QB a bit.

Teams have busted our prevent defense for touchdowns every time we've
used it. The season was lost, because the coaches under-valued their
veterans and undervalued experience in the backfield.

We've got to forget about the back end. Do what we do up front, & let the back end take care of the back end. If our front 7 try to compensate for the secondary, then we've got 11 players on the field not playing as well as they can.

If the front 7 do their thing, & the secondary do their thing, we'll have at least 7 playing very well on most every down (they all make mistakes) and maybe 3 out of 4, or 2 of the 4 playing well on the back end.

I think that's all we can do right now.

From press conference transcript;

WOW!

Shaker weight motion up and down until I'm chafed.....

So you don't think we played better defensively yesterday? You don't think there was a lot of good things happening yesterday?

I know this wasn't addressed to me but
I think we did play better(as in pressure) but we still gave up 30

TK.....you gotta stop man. I know you love this team, as do all of us. Why else would we flog ourselves visually for 3 hours watching this swirling turd defense and coaching staff flail around for 3 hours when we could have done something productive during the day.

Yes, there was some semblence of a pass rush yesterday. But no matter what baby steps the defense made, it is outweighed by the 92 Bills-esque EPIC FAIL with 48 seconds or so on the clock to let Joe Montana, I mean Sanchez drive through us like an elderly person at a buffet at 2 in the afternoon trying to beat the dinner rush.

We're late in the season man. They are what they are.

Here is what I was really directing my anger at in that post....

The bolded are my main beefs. Yes, I understand he can't just come out and blast him. But you don't have to say that bs either. Especially the last part is ridiculous......it's way late in the season to expect some big turn around.

So you don't think we played better defensively yesterday? You don't think there was a lot of good things happening yesterday?

You know what? Yeah, we did look better on defense yesterday. And they still gave up 30 points and 400 yards. That's pretty f'ing sad.

I don't care if everything they did was good, the one most important thing they didn't do good was win. Win a game they should have this week, possibly last week, and the week before. All the good things they did in those games equals 0-3.

A lot of good things yesterday? OK, sure, I'll give you that. Still not good enough!

uh, no. I don't. Overall we may have appeared to play better, but the other team put up 30 pts and won the game.

this question is like asking if its better to step in wet smelly dog pooh, or slightly dried not so sticky or stinky dog pooh.

It's still dog pooh. One is just slightly 'better' than the other for the wearer.

Kubiak needs to wake up. If we finished the game yesterday? What the hell is he talking about. If is for losers. Winners don't talk about if. They go out and get it done.

So you don't think we played better defensively yesterday? You don't think there was a lot of good things happening yesterday?

 TK ladies and gentlemen.......he will be here all week!!!!!!!

at this point in the season it means nothing to make babysteps if we continue to brainfart in the end and find ways to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.......which is exactly what we have done for 4 weeks in a row.......not just yesterday....4 dam weeks straight

actually its even worse.....that means we are back to a scrappy team....that plays hard....but doesnt know how to dig deep and get the plays it needs to win the game....in which case the teams that do are always gonna eat us alive....and we have regressed yet again.......somebody has to be accountable for this nonsense........rather its front office or players.....somebody must account for why or we are doomed

I agree, not good enough. My response is to people saying that Bush & Kubiak don't have a clue, that they aren't doing anything to try to fix this.

I'm not talking about moral victories... I'm talking about improving some on the defensive side of the ball.

I'm still more worried about the offensive side.... I believe, & have for much of this season, if our offense can help us get an early lead, we can play a more aggressive style of defense, and win more games.
