You know, the more I think about this, the more I disagree with LZ, conceptually speaking.
I mean, I agree that the talent level of supporting or surrounding players can have an effect on how a player plays, or appears to play, but I think any good scout should be able to evaluate a player strictly on how he moves, reacts, tackles, etc... especially a CB, who is on an island more often that not.
I'm just saying that a fair evaluation of the guy's play should be possible, exclusive of the effect other defenders.

The Lions are set to have a pretty potent offense if Stafford can be a quality NFL QB. He'll have Calvin Johnson and Burlson to throw to on the outside with Pettigrew (when he recovers from the ACL) and Scheffler at the TEs. Best as a change of pace back and Smith toting the rock.
Schwartz also has Suh to cause some problems on the defensive side of the ball.

They've been upgrading it the past couple of drafts. I'd expect them to continue to address it the next couple of days. They also traded for a guard, Rob Sims, recently as well.

Nothing against Z. I like the guy. But I feel the same about all the McShays, Kippers, & Mayocks. I like what they do, I find their stuff interesting, sometimes entertaining.
But not only are they not the guys making actual picks, they aren't even on the staff of the guys making actual picks. They aren't, and never were GMs, head coaches, or scouts.
I put more thought in the mocks from the guys on this board than the MSM guys.

The more I think about it, the less I think we'll go for a DT in the second, unless he is an absolute steal.
Barwin was already getting more snaps at DE, we'll be moving Antonio inside more often, Amobi is going to start......

I watched NFL channel, but between checking Cowboys war room, TexansTalk, Ranch Report, phone calls, and tracking the drafts, I missed most of the commentary.
What position do you think we will draft? I think, for us any other HB than Gerhart is a reach. I´m not sure O-Line has much more value for us here than later in the draft. So that leaves FS and DT, and here I expect them to take best player availabe.

I don't always agree with alot of the guys out there but I think you are making their work into a little more of a lark. Some of these guys watch as much film as the scouts. That is how they make their living. Heck just local guys LZ and Jon Harris put out a draft guide that was as detailed as any I have seen. Harris watches film religiously. So overall I doubt our talk around here and the micks are close to what they cover.
