Diggs to Houston

He spread the ball around like Stroud does. He threw to the open man. Rice obviously was WR1 but that wasn't because he forced the ball to Rice, like Derrick did with Hopkins.
Um he did force the ball to Rice because he was open or the offense was designed that way. Tell me who Watson was supposed to throw the ball to? When Fuller played and was healthy, he got the ball too, but how often was that. Might want to check that with Taylor and Rice. There isnt a QB who doesn't force the ball to their best guy unless he has 2 of them. I think Nico is going to get the bulk, but now CJ has more answers with Dell,Diggs, and Schultz. I don't ever recall Watson having anyone close to Diggs and probably not even Dell other than when Fuller decided to play.

I don't ever recall Derrick playing the QB position the way Stroud does.

Different qbs and BOB calling plays a long with 1 weapon. Every QB has a go to. When Mahomes needs a completion, where is he going? There is a reason as a TE Kelce has the most 1000 yd seasons along with the most targets. I was a CJ guy before and after the S2. I think he's gonna do well and be a king maker at wr.

Or maybe Derrick isn't that good.

Like avg at best and plays a schoolyard type of football.

I wasn't talking to you. But thanks for weighing in with your opinion.

Some do care since we still have a draft pick of the Browns next year. You gonna shut this thread down too, Or just remove this post?
Think we are done with Brown's draft picks. We have our own pick in each of the first four rounds and seventh. Then we have Buffalo's fifth-rounder, no sixth, think Eagles got that

You're in the forum. Not in a private conversation. Everyone is tired of seeing random threads turned into a Watson thread. Let it go.
By everyone you mean you.

This just in, not everyone thinks the way you do. My response was to Lee big and he brought up the topic I just responded. Maybe you should direct your post towards him.

But if you want I'll start pointing out every thread that gets off topic.

I thought we got the Buffalo pick as part of the Diggs trade which Caserio traded a 2nd and Cleveland's 4th for Diggs and Buffalo 's 4th. So technically without Cleveland's 4th there would be no Buffalo's 5th. The Derrick trade is the gift that keeps on giving.

No we got Diggs with the 5th from Minnesota and so that deal is completed also
As long as Diggs, CJ, & all the players we got with those picks Derrick's girlfriend's yoga instructor's mothers breakfast beverage of choice is relevant football talk.

Stefon Diggs’ previous contract with the Bills covered the 2028 season which would have been a long-term decision for the franchise.

This offseason, the Buffalo Bills received immense limelight for their decision to trade star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. Although the franchise clarified that the decision was not made in haste, analysts and fans questioned this move believing it to be a result of Diggs’ poor relationship with quarterback Josh Allen.

However, during a recent The Athletic NFL Show, Bills General Manager Brandon Beane opened up about the real reason why they traded Diggs. Surprisingly, it has very little to do with the star wideout’s reputation in the locker room.

A player of his caliber, you weigh a lot of things in those situation--But ultimately, we just talked about the cap. I don't need to go through all the reasons why we decided to go ahead and do that. I would say, from a cap standpoint, we decided just to go ahead and eat it now.
Brandon Beane said

Given, that Diggs’ previous contract with the Bills covered the 2028 season which is indeed a long-term decision for the franchise especially since they observed a decline in his production and the fact that he is turning 31 in the coming November.

If we tried to come up with some way to split it up too many different ways, then now it’s just like that albatross hanging on your neck all year. You look at your cap and you’re going, Look how much money we still have dead.

Believe SB (Super Bowl Jay) is describing CJ as a distributor of the ball, liken this ability from his Basketball background, this is his way of lighting up the basket.

You didn’t account for this when you gave him this contract.

Lol these owners/GM’s are off the charts

Somehow he forgot. What he lost was a #1 WR, on the cheap, market for WR’s has risen significantly, tells me he’s behind the times, which @ one point, when he made the offer to put the Bills over the top and to retain Diggs for 22 million this year & throw that away is sheer stupidity.

Match-up against Sauce is must see. However Saleh, actually doesn’t move Sauce and use him like a chess piece, leaving him LCB on Sauce Island. Think when Diggs & Sauce do cross paths it’s going to be a very long day for the Gardner.
Good thing is even if Sauce was to shutdown Diggs, it's just going to open things up for Collins/Dell/Schultz/Mixon etc...
