This offseason, the Buffalo Bills received immense limelight for their decision to trade star wide receiver
Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. Although the franchise clarified that the decision was not made in haste, analysts and fans questioned this move believing it to be a result of Diggs’ poor relationship with quarterback
Josh Allen.
However, during a recent The Athletic NFL Show, Bills General Manager
Brandon Beane opened up about the real reason why they
traded Diggs. Surprisingly, it has very little to do with the star wideout’s
reputation in the locker room.
Given, that Diggs’ previous contract with the Bills covered the 2028 season which is indeed a long-term decision for the franchise especially since they observed a decline in his production and the fact that he is turning 31 in the coming November.
