I know this is for fun, but we are not going to get any high priced FA here. We sinply don't have the cap room. Maybe Weary at C with Brown(2nd) at LT, Pitts at LG, Winston at RG and Spencer at RT.

What happened to Anthony Weaver? He signed a $24 million contract last season, and now he's on the bench? And I don't think the Texans would bring in Snake just to backup Sage.
Everett is a Will LB, not a Sam. But, I liked your picks on offense. Tell me why the Jets want to move up?
This isn't bad but where is Weaver? That'd be one expensive backup.
not bad..i like you only have 2 FA's on the list and both are attainable for us...i don't like seeing lance briggs, nate clements, steinbeck and say freeny...its unbelievable. and unattainable.
i could see this happening...do you mean seth payne instead of sean payne? just curious. not a bad line up for just one offseason.

FREE AGENCY
I choose not to be overly active in free agency because of our cap situation so I targeted only one guy and went after him hard landing hometown boy Nate Clements.
DRAFT
Choose to trade down in the draft and pick up an extra pick. Choose Green Bay as a trading partner because if Adrian Peterson falls the would love the chance to replace Ahman Green without losing a beat. If Peterson not their they could add A top WR like Jarrett or Rice/Ginn jr. to go along with Driver.
TRADE
To Green Bay Pick RD.1 # 8(1400 point value)
To Houston Pick rd.1 #16(1000 point value) andRD.2 #48(420 point value)
ROSTER
QB- David Carr, Sage Rosenfels
HB- Marshawn Lynch(pick RD.1 # 16(CAL)), Ron Dayne, Domanick Williams(if healthy) if not Chris Taylor
FB- Vonta Leach
TE- Owen Daniels, Jeb Putzier
WR- Andre Johson, Eric Moulds, David Ball(Pick RD.5 #136(NEW HAMPSHIRE))
LT- Charles Spencer(if healthy), Ryan Harris(pick RD .3 #72(N.D.)
LG- Chester Pitts
C- Mike Flanagan, Steve McKinney
RG- Fred Weary
RT- Eric Winston, Ryan Harris(pick RD.3 #72(N.D.)
DE- Mario Williams, Anthony Weaver, Jason Babin, Derrick Jones(Pick RD.6 #168(Grand Valley state)
DT- Anthony Maddox, Travis Johnson, Marcus Taylor(pick RD.4 #104(FLA)
MLB- Demeaco Ryans
OLB- Morlan Greenwood, Rufus Alexander(Pick RD.2 #39(OKLAHOMA)
CB- Nate Clements(FA), Dunta Robinson, Pete Faggins
FS- Brandon Merriwether(Pick RD.2 #48(MIAMI), C. Brown
SS. Glen Earl, (Pick RD.7 for depth her)
NOTE: David Ball the 5th round pick for us set a NCAA record with 58 career TD's breaking Jerry Rice's record.
P.S. sorry it's so long.
I agree with Lynch!! Your whole thesis could be what happens!!

I like this thread because it lets me see what others are thinking about in terms of what the team could look like. Anyway, here's one of my possible scenarios:
QB Carr, Rosenfels, Kolb (4th rd. if still there)
RB Dayne, Taylor, Lundy, D.W. (if healthy)
FB Leach
TE Daniels, Putzier, Bruener
WR Johnson, Walter
WR Moulds, Anderson
LT Spencer (if healthy), Staley (2nd rd.)
LG Pitts
C Flanagan, Beekman (3rd rd.)
RG Weary, McKinney (swing guard/emergency C)
RT Winston, Salaam
DE Weaver, Kalu
DT Okoye (1st rd.), Thomas Johnson, Malone
DT Maddox, Travis Johnson, Payne ( if he recovers)
DE Williams, Babin
OLB Wong, Justin Durant (6th rd. if still there), Anderson
MLB Ryans, Polk
OLB Greenwood, Evans
CB Robinson, Wynn
FS Hamlin (FA), C.C. Brown
SS Michael Lewis (FA), Earl
CB Faggins, Chris Houston (5th rd. if still there)
K Brown
P Sepulveda (7th rd. if still there)
As of this time, I have no idea how long most of the draft picks will last. The only one I can say with some degree of certainty is Okoye, who should be there at #8. Sepulveda in the 7th is probably wishful thinking, but hey, I can dream can't I?
As for FA, I hope they can target 1 or 2 areas of weakness and maybe pickup a couple of good players. I chose Hamlin because I think we maybe able to get him without "breaking the bank", and I think Lewis might want to come here since I think he is from this area, but I don't think he will be cheap.
I tried to keep the draft balanced since we need alot on both sides of the ball, and I tried to build from the inside out with the first 3 picks going to "the trenches." Anyway, I know everybody has different ideas on how to build this team, and it should be fun to watch during the offseason. That's my
Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate that you think I could be close, but one thing I've come to realize in 5 plus years is the Texans never pick who I think they will.
