You predict the 2007 draft

Well after 20 minutes that's 3 for Anderson and 2 for Brown.

Arizona picks Jamaal Anderson..in agreement?

Washington Redskins now on the clock....

So does that mean Russell is selected by Tampa?

Oakland: Calvin Johnson
Detroit: Joe Thomas
Cleveland: Adrian Peterson
Tampa Bay: Jamarcus Russell

Arizona now on the clock:

Arizona picks Jamaal Anderson. (Levi Brown could be the pick but it might be a reach for him at 5) DE should be a solid pick for them. They are horribly in the secondary...so Landry would be great but prob. too high.

Zona picks Anderson
Steelers coaching staff now in place there. Brown is a maybe.

Arizona: reach for Levi Brown...

arizona goes with anderson

Levi Brown, the pick in my mock draft as well.

That's 5. 3 for Anderson, 2 for Brown.

I really don't know who to pick for Washington. Gaines Adams or Alan Branch are my two front runners.

Washington selects...Gaines Adams.

I think I counted wrong earlier. But now I think its

Adams -4
Okoye-1
Branch-1

Is that right? If so....

Washington selects Gaines Adams. Next on the Clock is Minnesota Vikings...

MIN: Brady Quinn

You should post what team got who. I have to keep going back to check if a player is already taken...

Good idea, lets do it whenever the next team is on the clock...

1.Oakland-Calvin Johnson
2.Detroit-Joe Thomas
3.Cleveland-Adrian Peterson
4.Tampa Bay-Jamarcus Russell
5.Arizona-Jamaal Anderson
6.Washington-Gaines Adams

I thought it was first player to get 5 votes for one team. Not 5 votes in general.

Heres how it works: I will post a team as being "on the clock." After the team has been posted, anyone can post a vote as to who they think that team will pick. Once one candidate has received 5 votes, we move to the next team. Up first,

Oakland is on the clock:

Looks like this thread got messed up in an attempt to speed it up.

Ole MIss Texan I hate to point fingers but ya messed it up man. There was a tight race for the bucs selection and you didn't let it go through, made the selection on your own and now tried to speed the rest of it up :-/..it was a good idea too.

yes, once a candidate receives 5 votes, we move forward. i think we can still salvage this; let's just keep going. but wait for 5 votes for a player/pick before moving to the next team.

Well, as we wait for the MIN pick to finish up, a comment in anticipation of the coming HOU pick...

Here, I'd like to see us trade back a bit and pick up a Leon Hall or D Reevis (sp?). That or Reggie Nelson. In short, I think our pass rush improves by improving our secondary. I much prefer stepping back a few picks, to address a position need and pick up a middle rounder or two.

But this draft assumes we don't trade. And I'll hold my tongue on my pick until it's our time.

I completly agree. too hard to predict for these purposes. i think hall or nelson could help us a lot. with staying put at 8 i wouldn't mind nelson though..but doubt we pick him or hall. i wouldn't be mad though.

****I have to go pick up my pizza, so when Houston comes up please someone select Amobi Okoye for me. Hopefully I'm back and 5people in a row don't jump on and pick him*********

Thatta way get that one over with..

1.Oakland-Calvin Johnson
2.Detroit-Joe Thomas
3.Cleveland-Adrian Peterson
4.Tampa Bay-Jamarcus Russell
5.Arizona-Jamaal Anderson
6.Washington-Gaines Adams
7.Minnesota-Brady Quinn

Now what we've all been waiting for....Now on the clock, the Houston Texans...

HOU: Leon Hall

I was torn here. Landry. Hall. Landry. Hall. But I went with the CB, maybe Merriweather is there in the 2nd.

I would rather trade down, grab Revis or Nelson and pick up an additional 3rd rounder. Whayagonnado? :tease:

I'm torn to..I hope we trade down. I'd love a FS and maybe a cb in the 2nd. we need a good corner...but i'm scared to take one this high. I see our staff picking up one of the DT...Branch or Okoye. Levi Brown is a big possibility too.

I think the texans will select...Amobi Okoye.

Honestly, I think Landry could help this team more than Okoye, but at the 8 spot and not being able to trade down I think Okoye is more worth the pick than the other's mentioned.

I'm going to bed...here's for whoever starts this tomorrow..."good luck and good night"

1.Oakland- Calvin Johnson WR
2.Detroit- Joe Thomas LT
3.Cleveland- Adrian Peterson RB
4.Tampa Bay- Jamarcus Russell QB
5.Arizona- Jamaal Anderson DE
6.Washington-Gaines Adams DE
7.Minnesota- Brady Quinn QB
8.Houston- Amobi Okoye DT

Now on the Clock....the miami dolphins...

Honestly, I think Landry could help this team more than Okoye, but at the 8 spot and not being able to trade down I think Okoye is more worth the pick than the other's mentioned.

My thoughts exactly. I think Hall or Landry would probably be better for the team but Okoye is arguably a better player and is a better value at #8, and without being able to trade down he was my pick.

As for Miami, I'll go ahead and go with Alan Branch, although I think they could easily be looking offense since that was undoubtedly their weakness this last year.
