YodAa19 Mock Draft

YodAa

Rookie
Trades
-GB trades 5th overall to SF for the 6th overall, 4th Rd in 2006, and 3rd Rd in 2007
-DET trades 9th overall to MIA for the 16th overll and their 2nd Rd pick
-SD trades 19th overall to DEN for the 22nd overall and their 3rd Rd pick
-TB trades 23rd overall to CAR for the 27th overall and their 3rd Rd pick

1. Houston Texans - RB Reggie Bush USC

2. New Orleans Saints - QB Matt Leinart USC

3. Tennessee Titans - QB Vince Young Texas

4. New York Jets - DT Haloti Ngata Oregon
Under Mangini it'll a 3-4, so they might as well start building it now.

5. San Farncisco 49ers(f/GB) - LB AJ Hawk Ohio St.
The 49ers are running a 3-4 D now, and after seeing what 1 LB could do in that system, Merriman, they take this boy wonder and hope for similar results.

6. Oakland Raiders - DE Mario Williams NCST

7. Green Bay Packers(f/SF) - RB LenDale White USC
The Packers mentioned that it would be hard to pass up on White after his show in the Rose Bowl, so trading down to #7 will make it a little less harder.

8. Buffalo Bills - OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson Virginia

9. Miami Dolphins(f/DET) - QB Jay Cutler Vanderbilt
With the top 2 RBs taken, Miami isn't quite sure what the Cards will do, but they are sure that they can't risk losing Cutler.

10. Arizona Cardinals - RB DeAngelo Williams

11. St. Louis Rams - TE Vernon Davis Maryland
Linehan had a great TE in Randy McMichael in his Dolphins O, and won't be able to pass up on this Superman of a TE.

12. Cleveland Browns - LB Chad Greenway Iowa

13. Baltimore Ravens - CB/S Jimmy Williams Virginia Tech

14. Philadelphia Eagles - DT Broderick Bunkley FSU

15. Atlanta Falcons - S Michael Huff Texas

16. Detroit Lions - OT Winston Justice USC

17. Minnesota Vikings - RB Laurence Maroney Minnesota

18. Dallas Cowboys - S Ko Simpson SoCar

19. Denver Broncos(f/SD) - DE Mathias Kiwanuka BC
Kansas City is so excited and amazed at the fact that Kiwi will be theirs to choose, but Denver is even more excited that they'll be able to trade up for this guy cheap, but also because they'll be able to steal him from one of their arch rivals.

20. Kansas City Chiefs - CB Tye Hill Clemson

21. New England Patriots - LB Bobby Carpenter Ohio St.

22. San Diego Chargers(f/WAS t/DEN) - WR Santonio Holmes Ohio St.
At 19, SD had their choice between 3 guys, Santonio, Bobby, and Darnell, so they trade down to gain another pick and hopefully let the thing solve itself. With Bobby gone, Bing not really having "it", and the amazing seasons put by Steve Smith, Joey Galloway, and Santana Moss, they say "What the heck? Lets have the OROY this year"

23. Carolina Panthers(f/TB) - TE Leonard Pope Georgia
Carolina won't have a shot at any of the 4 RBs, and with the only glaring holes being TE and maybe WR, they're forced to trade up with their arch rivals, but don't worry Carolina you'll be rewarded by having God on your side (Pope, lol, sorry....)

24. Cinncinati Bengals - S Darnell Bing USC
The 2 big TEs gone and some other ones in the next Rds available they decide to address their secondary

25. New York Giants - LB DeMeco Ryans Alabama

26. Chicago Bears - CB Richard Marshall Fresno St.

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers(f/CAR) - OT Marcus McNeil Auburn
Win-win situation

28. Pittsburgh Steelers - CB Antonio Cromartie FSU

29. Jacksonville Jaguars - CB Ashton Youboty Ohio St.

30. Indianapolis Colts - LB Thomas Howard UTEP

31. Seattle Seahawks - DE Tamba Hali Penn St.

32. Denver Broncos - OT Daryn Colledge Boise St.

It's a new look, you have some different players going top 32 than most. Refreshing, if slightly inaccurate at this point. Good job.

I think this is a much better mock than most and you do have some new interesting ideas in it. I don't see Carolina trading up just to grab a TE, one of the top 3 would still be available at their spot so I don't see them giving up a pick to move up a couple spots and grab one there. I would be surprised if the Jets take Ngata that high, but you are right that they will likely be running a 3-4 now with Mangini, so some of their current guys like John Abraham might not fit in that, so we could maybe get him in free agency now. The Eagles are the main team I can see taking Santonio Holmes (or whoever the #1 WR on draft day is) in the 1st round since they desperately need an upgrade at WR with the departure of T.O. As I've said in other threads, but draft day I really expect Eric Winston to be back to a mid-1st round pick, but for now he's fallen off in many mocks, but I think he'll be up there by the end of April. Other than that, I like your mock a lot.

ya but if you look at their team they really truly don't have too many holes left and with the cap its actually better to get rid of some picks

hey dont no if you guys noticed but i made some small changes down there with the bears and jaguars

I Like it. It means we will have the choice of Winston from Miami or Jonathan Scott of Texas, with our second round pick.

i think wed take scott cause Winston has big bust over his head right now and mayb itd calm the locals a lil after not takin VY

I think Winston will be the steal of the draft when it comes to OLinemen if he slips to the late 1st or 2nd round.

ya with Winston its really a big question mark because he went from TE to OT so hes still learning but then with that injury. He could be a huge steal or a huge bust depending at where hes drafted which could be in the top 15 all the way til the early 3rd
