Hey pimp, so what is your take on the draft and particularly the Texans draft. I at least had a good time at the draft party and I am bout to go see Aaron Glenn to play some madden and mess around. Holla atcha peoples...

Im curious to know what the response was at the draft party when San Diego passed on DJ? As well, of course, I am also curious what the reaction was when we did not draft DJ?

Well at the draft party there were alot of people thinking that Detroit would take DJ. San Diego everyone had a consensus that they would take Shawn Merrimen due to the type of players they like so no one was suprised by their pick. When everyone saw him fall they were very excited, but before anyone could really go crazy we traded to pick. About 2/3 of the people left the draft party at that point and they sent all the players home and everything really shut down. When K.C. picked the party was over and no one was happy. When they announced we drafted DJ there was a flurry of boos and curse words thrown about. I mean most of the people would have been ok with Barron, Spears, or even Pollack. The main feeling is that we were cheated. I mean we all were up there for several hours enjoying the revelry and our team and then it was like our team just decided that our voice was not important. I dont know how could TJ will be but if DJ has a season like Vilma had then there will be alot of Texans fans really pissed off, even more-so then they were today.

I'm just soaking it in at this point. We were lousy stopping the run last year and we have now gutted our inside linebackers and added a DT who came from a team that stopped the run quite well and was our pick of the respective litter. Free agency isn't over yet so keep that in mind as we fill out our team going into the first camp at the end of the month.

So what are your thoughts now that we have Vernand Morency. He is essentially the same type runner as DD. We did not upgrade with this pick. The kid can run the ball we know that, but with Jerome Mathis, Antiya Ellison, or Antaj Hawthorne still available what do you make of these picks. OUr first day is getting a little questionable.

I've been wanting a legit back to pair with Dom for a while. Morency is a downhill runner who is a bit more explosive than DD. I'm pretty excited about him. I thought we would go for a wr there (in the 3rd) but Morency may have been too high on our value board to pass.

I'm not big on Hawthorne and don't know much about Ellison other than second hand opinion...and I don't trust much second hand stuff like most of mocksperts do... Mathis is a project (we have a couple of wr projects in Starling and Sloan).
