Y'know, players are the ones that win/lose game too...

Now, we've played a lot of games where I have wondered just what the hell our coaches are doing. But not in this one. We just did not have the talent to beat the Titans today. I mean, right now, I can't really specify a thing that went wrong with coaching today. I can't say "we should have done this or that" ect.

I didn't see a bunch of glass-eyed people running around not knowing what the heck was going on. Everyone on that field looked like they knew exactly what they were doing; they just couldn't get it done.

Just look at our roster! Offense:
1) One of the worst pass protectors in the league, which ruins your whole offense pretty much. Last I've heard, people still call more pass plays than run plays.
2) An average recieving core which looks much worse w/o AJ. Bradford sucks. He can't catch or run a route. We've got Gaffney and Gaffney right now. Mathis really needs to come up big for us. And where has Armstrong been?
3) We've got to be the only team in the league w/o a TE. SERIOUSLY, this is just disgusting. I'm really missing Billy Miller right now. Murphy hasn't stepped up for TE yet?

For defense, I thought we were getting faster and younger, but it hasn't shown at all. The big changes we made haven't come through.
1) Seconday is worse w/o Arron Glenn. I don't care if he's old, Faggins and Buchanon are getting victimized every game. God knows how we're going to tighten that up after paying such a huge price for Buchanon.
2) The duo of Foreman/Sharper have clearly outperformed Greenwood/Wong at this point in the season.
3) Our linebacking core is just mediocre in general, which is VERY BAD when you're running the 3-4.
4) We have absolutely NOT improved out defense since our rookie season!!! Our D has taken steps backward every year.

Talent wise, we just didn't imrove at all this year. We've got Mathis who is still very unexperienced at best. And that's about it. The GM just really screwed up this year. I can honestly say we don't have the talent that we had last year, which is pretty sad...

Everyone keeps doggin Bradford, from what I saw he played well yesterday. And as for the tight end situation...Murphy has been injured for the past two weeks, he didn't play last week and he barely played this week.

making that catch in the endzone would have been nice .....

And if I'm not mistaken wasn't that the 1st oppotunity they had in the 2nd half to get 6? At least ha dhe caught that the game would have been a TD closer. And had that TD run not been called back that DD had in the 1st half from that Chester Pitts penalty it could have gone into OT. :brickwall

It was thrown a touch too far. He left his feet and dove for the ball to try and make that catch. Now you are ditching a player who at least "tried" to do something the others aren't.

It seems to me that the players are executing what the coaches ask them to do.

It's just that the coaches plans suck.

Its hard to cover people when you get NO RUSH whatsoever. 10+ seconds isnt possible with WR like Bennet

It was a pass and the penalty was on Victor Riley.

I can remind you of a few coaching mistakes...

4th and 1 almost in Titan territory with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter, we punt it away. Then we start calling time outs to stop the clock. Horrible coaching decision. What did we have to lose at that point. If you are playing to win, you go for it. They were trying to make the score look more respectable, not trying to win. How do you expect the player not to give up when the coaches already have.

They stopped rotaing running back in the 3rd quarter and practically stopped trying to run the ball then as well. It's the only offense that was working and they abandoned it.

Not smacking some sense into Carr after the 3rd time he ran out of bounds behind the line instead of ditching the friggin ball out of bounds or at a running backs feet.

need I go on?

I love this team but i'm sick of watching them mismanage talent and game planning to not lose rather than to win.

I agree in fact the past few weeks, I've enjoyed watching him more. As each catch make the boo birds here... hurt. :texflag:

If he wasn't afraid of contact he'd be a better receiver. He could have caught that first ball in the endzone. It wasn't that over thrown. But he was more worried about how he'd land when he hit the ground than he was with holding on to the ball. It hit him in the hand for crying out loud.

I've been a Bradford hater for a while now and still don't think he should be on our team, but I have to admit he at least held onto one in the endzone today.

One coaching move would have been to make a substitution for an exhausted and totally ineffective player.

Nice garbage time TD on a simple slant against a rookie CB when the game was already over.
