i like the general idea, but i would add a qb in round 4 or 5, and then a lb in round 2.

1.LT
2.LB
3.OL...(center?)
3b.TE
4.QB
5.OL
6.OL
7.Fastest guy left

That should have been our draft blueprint last draft.

1: Jammal Brown, OT, Oklahoma
2: Marcus Johnson, OG, Ole Miss
3: Ray Willis, OT, Florida St.
3: Elton Brown, OG, Virginia
4: Jason Brown, C, North Carolina
5: Wesley Britt, OT, Alabama
6: CC Brown, S, Louisiana-Lafayette
7: Ben Wilkerson, C, L.S.U.

I left in CC Brown, because he is doing a bang up job. Literally.

For us to wait until the 5th round to get an offensive lineman is insane. Smart teams know that the battle is won in the trenches. D-linemen. O-linemen. The skill players, or "topping on this cake" can be had in the later rounds.

Lets hope we get david a real left tackle soon.

I think Casserly wants to take guys who are relatively unknown just so that he can prove a point at what a "genius" he is. I think most people here had no idea that we would draft Travis Johnson. I don't disagree with the pick because we did need to get younger and athletic on the d-line but I think most people didn't expect that pick. Same thing goes for Jason Babin, I've never heard of him and unless you're an ultra die hard college football fan chances are you didn't know who Babin was either. We the fans want the team to draft players who are known to us either through T.V. or the Combine. We want the team to draft the obvious choice and maybe it's time for Casserly to take notice.

yeah but the team cant draft somone just to please the fans.....and isnt Jason Babin doing pretty good for you guys?

I think CC is trying to draft like he is still in the OLDEN days of Washington honestly.

I mean someone tell me WHY we passed on Derrick Johnson to take Travis Johnson? And you can't say 4-3 b/c they both played in one.

Then you draft Morency who is the exact same kind of back as DD except OLDER and you still have YET to address the O-LINE. I think he's :fishing: on most of these picks and I agree he's hoping one hits to look like a genius.

We wont trade up to get Sean Taylor but we will trade back into the first round to get Jason Babin???? I love D Robinson please dont get this twisted but if we were going to trade back into the 1st round it should have been for a OFFENSIVE LINEMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you hear me capers and cc?????

we will most likly have a high #1 pick so drafting the best LT inthe draft is a must. That also means we have a high 2nd ounder, and with those 2 3rd rounders we will have and CC our GM (maybe) we could move up in the first and get another top tier O-Lineman or a WR. One of the Ohio State boys or that huge guy from loisville?

Sorry bud, we wont have the 2nd or 3rd, because CC wants to get another pot luck player from another team.

I didn't know who Babin was untill after the season of that draft. I try to see the all tweener DE's befor the draft. Babin was flying up the boards as I remember in March. I had no problem with CC taking a shot with the guy.I did have a problem with moving up to get him. He is very simular in stature to Kevin Green. He does play the run very well. At this point though, as far as a pass rusher , he plays more like Mr. Green Jeans, than Kevin Green. He's always close, but never consumates. Sounds like my Prom date. It'll be awhile befor the team dumps him. The taking the chance on Wand was also a decision I could live with. At the time the organization was tring to fill many holes. He was a big guy with very quick feet and he had a lagitimate chance to make it.
But I think most on the board would agree at this point, we have reached critical mass on the o-line. Whovere the QB is here, the o-line has to be fixed first. They May well choose to pass on Carr's Contract. But I garuantee, if they dump him he will reemerge in the NFL as a playoff caliber QB. Maybe Green Bay ? I don't like Vince Young's Delivery with the football. Every coach he has ever had has tried to change it. He is acurate with his "slings" but there hasn't been a sucessfull side armed QB since Sammy Baugh. He HAS the tallent to change that. But in MHO, Young is not a lock to becoming the next Tom Brady. And In the NFL, the "slinging " of the ball will be an issue. The USC QB is very simular to the Cal QB that Green bay picked up @ 24 last draft. Carr has a better arm, more moblie, and has a quicker release. JMHO. But at this point, there is no denying the fact that all of the sacks have had a cumulative total. They still have a chance at 4-7 wins. It will be interesting to see which way the organization moves come January. Watchin' the Oilers ruin Lynn Dickey was very painfull. Watchin' Capers & CC ruin Carr has been downright putrid . Capers has history with young QBs. Collin's has turned out to be a pretty good QB. May be he will get him some help Next season. My bold prediction...Carr will go to the SB befor CC and Capers get there. JMHO.
