Williams first sack video!

It's nice to see Mario finally get a sack, and I won't take that away from him (I was screaming for him both times, too).

But, I'm looking forward to the time when Mario gets a sack on his own, meaning a straight-up tackle against a QB. He almost had one, but Culpepper is a big guy, so Mario missed him.

Mario should definitely be buying Ryans and Weaver steak dinners for their kind assistance in his 1.5 sacks.

There are going to be a lot of tired and sore o linemen at the end of the season. Can't you just hear them saying to their QB "Get rid of that damn ball, I am holding on to this T REX and I'm about to lose my grip." MARIO!MARIO!

Yap! Mario should buy Ryans and Weaver a huge steak dinner. 10lbs each. Would that be enough?

I'm so gald to see Mario had sack and don't forget guys, DeMeco sack was also his first!

Go Texans!!

Reggie Bush is averaging 3.3 yards per carry and has zero touchdowns, just for comparison purposes. After 4 games, I'd still rather have Mario!
Can we please have a thread with out Bush injected into it? We look like an insecure fan base knocking Bush in every last thread by our own fans.

Ya, true, I really have no problem with Reggie or the Saints. I used to like the Saints actually, when they had Stallworth. Reggie is fine by me, I actually hope he does well in the NFL cause he seems like a straight up good person to be in the league.

P.S. After further investigations...Weaver def had one of his feet.

Mario does get held quite a bit. I know that yes, it's the NFL, holding occurs on almost every play at one point or another, but he needs to get better at drawing the attention of the stripes when he gets held, complain a little more.

I'm wondering if it's a lack of respect that rookies get in the NFL. Sort of the opposite treatment that superstars get by officials.

Maybe it's a "If you want respect, you have to earn" it sort of thing.

Would it help if Mario would fall down when in the grasp? Sort of like a basket ball player falling down when he is bumped? "Ohh referee! He tackled me." I personally would like him to grab the other guy's arm and perform a judo throw. AIIIEYYAHH!

I can't wait till Mario just pancacks an OT and blindsides a QB, because not only will it be awesome to see, they will actually show it on ESPN. Check that not just any QB, PEYTON MANNING.

there is holding on every play....great players get beyond it. I hope Mario doesn't turn into Super crybaby Mario. No crying and whining in football! I don't want to see him "taking charges".

Wouldn't it be great if Demeco was big enough to play MLB? If the line and backers continue to improve, maybe the safeties will be ok. Sort of what Kubes planned. Come on Petey! Get well. You too Wong.

Wong talked to us a little bit before the game. He said the next time we're in the stadium he'll be suited up.

Or better yet, he could hit the ground convulsing like he's dieing as soccer players do in the pros.
:hides:

If you think the crowd went crazy when Mario got his first sack. Just wait until he gets his first sack of Manning. That picture was awesome showing Weaver already had Pepper down before Williams got there. Good for Weaver. Hopefully the boys on the line can duplicate their performance the rest of the season.

Doug FTW

I was telling my father yesterday (who attended the game with me) that the intensity of the stadium after those two sacks haven't been felt there since the Titans game of 04, the Jaguars game of 04, and the Patriots game of 03. It was great to have that feeling back again.

that series was so electric

Yeah it was Tiger06! Seemed like it was contagious and the whole squad was on fire for that drive. If we could get some momentum going like that early in the game I think it would do wonders for our squad. The chaos it creates and the extra push you get will = turnovers and sacks that maybe normally wouldn't come. I've watched that video about 10 times now and I still get chills when I see it..lmao. I need help! :tease:

They do get by it but it's also a "command attention" concept. If it was just a great players get by they wouldn't bother to make a rule against it. Great and veteran players also know how to act or get in the ref's ear about it.

Mario needs to learn the "wax on, wax off" move. They wouldn't be able to get thier hands on him if he learned this technique.:redtowel:
