Will the Texans ever change or modify their Uniforms?

It's late and I know my brain isn't working as well as it would be early in the day, but I really think that if we had initially gone with those uniforms we might not have sucked as much as we have.

I was just a kid when the Oilers left town, but I still feel connected to them because I do remember seeing them play.

I think those uni's would have given us a sense of history and pride that we don't really have right now.

The color of ones uniform has nothing to do with suckage.

The Oilers are gone. Have been gone for a long time now. Those colors belong to history and need to stay history.

Texans are battle red, liberty white and steel blue.

How's THIS for hideous???

Hey....I love gold helments.

Tough the last few years being an Irish and Texan fan.

:coffee:

I would have loved it if Fud would have left us the name & history. But he dint. and Columbia Blue will always be associated with Fud, so it is not acceptable to me. I followed the Oiler's since shortly after their inception, but they are dead and gone now.

Does HPD still roll Columbia Blue Cruisers?

Left in 94', and haven't been back to H-Town in a while, mostly East Texas and Corpus.

Yeah...I can see that.
But the Titans colors aren't Columbia Blue...and I could, honestly, never hate the Oilers. Too many awesome memories.

I know it's over and done...still think it's pretty cool unis.

Actually, the Titans blue is columbia blue. Bud has officially had the named changed to "Titan blue", but I had posted an article awhile back that the original light blue was columbia in order to have connections to the Oilers.

Here's a page from NFL Shop (official site of the NFL) that connects the two names to the same color:

Tennessee Titans were established in 1960. The official team colors of the Tennessee Titans uniforms are Titans (Columbia) Blue, Navy Blue, White, Scarlet, and Silver.

I stand corrected. Thanks DB.

yep definitely offseason.

- post about team colors revising
- 4 pages of debate on the colors
- spam posting.

check, check, aaaaannnd check.

Honestly, I think the unis would be much improved if we just changed the numbers to something a little more old school, like in the pics above. I've never been a fan of these "modern" incarnations of NFL unis. Reminds me of the CFL.

PS. Never again with the all red. Seriously.

The uniforms are fine as is. The only changes I would make would be to ditch the all red uniforms and go back to the classic Battle Red Day combo. And, for the love of God, bring back the red socks with the blue pants.

I like the steel blue and white. If we want to change it up I wouldn't mind a darker red top and blue pants, but all bright red does not look good.

I don't see a need to change unis, I would like to see a Texans jersey in the playoffs though. That would be a good change.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Texans keep the same logo and colors but just modernize it a little bit.
