Will Reggie Bush be able to wear #5

LBC_Justin

Rookie
Will Reggie Bush be able to wear #5 when he is drafted by the Texans>

Will he able to wear that number or because of his postion will he have to chose another?

:redtowel: GO TEXANS:redtowel:

Why was he wearing #5 when that's obviously not a RB's number? Don't care, just wondering.

i think this rule has changed....i know at least for wr's it has...

but it doesn't matter we need to trade down

Grid has it right as for the current rules. WRs changed from 80s only to allowing them to wear 10-19 a couple of years back.

He also has the option of declaring himself a wr and picking a number between 10-19 since rookie wr's are allowed to use those numbers. The no. 5 is out of the question.

Reggie Bush doesnt need a number. In fact, reggie bush is so fast, whenever he runs, all of the logos, names, and numbers on the back of his jersey peel off from the sonic force.

Tagliabue will definetley make an amendment for this once in a lifetime player. In fact word around the way is that he will be on the HOF ballot next year.

I think he wore 11 during mini-camp, just as Andre Johnson wore 15. But when he's not falling off motorcycles, he wears 80.

and when he was at Miami, Andre Johnson wore...#5.

Well, after the whole WR movement where the went to the teens, I would not be suprised if Bush starts the movement for any player to have number they want to wear.

Thats why I want him on the team and not some UT wannabe.

If he ends up being as good as predicted...dare I say he should get the number....34?!! :shocked

I think he should wear the number 23, 2+3 equals 5 the number he wore in college and highschool; or wear a throw back number like 41.. 4+1 equals 5 "dittio" and plus gale sayers wore the number 40 and 41 would be like Reggie Bush is "one above gale sayers" and the 1 could stand for #1 player drafted over all... :homer:

mmmmmmmmmmhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I could see the number #33 directly under his name but it's already taken. Even #30 is gone, but as long as it's in the 30's it will look right for him. I can't picture anything in the 20's or 40's looking good under his name.

It's how many games he'll play before he gets hurt
It's how many times he'll get nailed behind LOS every game
It's his draft position
It's that many less $$ by the millions he'll get than VY
It's how many pitches he attempts a season
It's his shoe size
It's how many times he asked PC to put him in the game on 4th and 2
It's how many yds UT had to get for a 1st down when VY ran it in for the winning score

Its how many more yards per game he averages than DD.
Its how many TDs he is going to score per game
Its how many tenths of a second faster he is than DD
Its how many times better he is than anybody else
Its how many times he runs circles around the defens before scoring
Its how many ankles he breaks per play
Its how many games he will single handedly win
Its how many times he flips over the defender to score the TD per season
Its how many MVP he is going to win

Morency wants a trade?
Sorry should have followed that up with a "thats what I heard." There was some speculation on various sport shows that if we drafted Bush, Morency would want to be traded to a team that he could show case his talents at. If this is true couldnt blame him. Poor guy couldnt get any playing time behind DD and Wells. Really never get to play behind Bush and DD.

34 should be, in my opinion, worn by a great player. Campbell, Hakeem, Ryan. So far the Texans that have had 34 has been a scrub, Mack and now Morency.

If, and I did say if, Bush is as great a player as they are hyping, then yes he should be given such a sacred number. If he is a bust, then he should be stripped of the number have his hand slapped and have to personally apologize to Earl himself for ever thinking he could wear such a number.

But thats my opinion.

He can wear number 5 but he'll have to pay a fine to the league. The Jets will likely pay that fine for him though.

I see it as the best possible scenario for the texans....
I respect that.
I see a possibility of us movin' to #3
Titans take Leinert / Chow reunited with QB he helped recruit and won a NC with.
Saints take Bush as they pickup Best QB FA available.
We still get Young.
