Will Gary Walker come back next year?

i believe his cap hit would be way too high to get rid of him....besides im willing to see what his veteran leadership can do with a new coaching staff...hell that goes for our entire team.
 
Gary Walker is probably the only veteran leader this team has. I say you find him a spot and pay him his money, I'd rather part ways with Payne, anyways.
 
I doubt ANY of our starting defensive line guys go anywhere, whether we are a 3-4 or 4-3 team. Just not enough out in FA to replace them with, and we will likely only get 1-3 defensive guys in this draft. Kind of a bandaid this year and work at it in 07 IMO. Might pick up Clements in FA at CB and that would be a big upgrade opposit DRob.
 
getting in football shape and staying healthy are key but if all that is taken care of Gary would make a fine DE/DT as needed. you already have Travis Johnson & Robaire Smith DT's I would let Peek try out for the other DE he could prove unstoppable if allowed to rush the QB more. then you always have Babin who could come up from the strong side LB with Wong in the middle and Greenwood weakside. seems workable to me assuming everybody is healthy. Payne would give you nice depth at the DT position as well but he would be the odd man out since he is more of a NT.
 
I wonder what the Texans think about him saying publically that the Texans need Vince Young. He certainly didn't give Carr a vote of confidence. Of course that is not surprising since his view of the field is even better than ours.

Me too but since the Texans sucked so much hardly any of their games were broadcast in HD. Of course after Austin pulled the plug on them there was no TV at all around here for them.

yeah pretty much only highlight footage we are on is when you see us in the back ground after a team just stomped all over us (good stuff :yahoo: )
