Why did you choose not to Work Out??

Watching the NFL Network, J. Russell, & Quinn were asked several times why they decided not to work out.

I didn't like either of their answers.

If I were either of their Agents, I would have instructed my clients to give a more football friendly answer.

"I've been fortunate enough to go to a successful program that gets lots of exposure. I feel like this is a great opportunity for some of the guys from programs that didn't get that kind of exposure to improve their chances of being selected by an NFL team.

I feel that deciding not to workout here, I'm giving someone an opportunity to be the Jay Cutler of this years draft."


How 'bout you, how would you have answered??

Not good answers.

I would have said something to the effect (actually i'd never be in that situation...lol..I'd instruct my client to say something to the effect of )...

"I decided not to work out here but to just get Weighed in and I'm glad I was fortunate to have a few interviews with teams. I am really looking forward to my pro day, I think the teams that attend will be impressed by the amount of work I'll put into that. I am also looking forward to visiting some teams for individual workouts for us to get to know each other better, and I can show them how my strengths can really help them."
