Why did Eric Winston last until the 3rd round?

I'm just curious because many projections had him mid to late 1st round. I noticed that 5-6 OTs got picked ahead of him. I just want to know if there is something wrong with him that made him drop to the 3rd.
 
DJD found in his knee post repair and he as 31 inch arms.............means he is only a RT prospect.................nice value....................
 
I am ignorant on things but this is what gets me... say like Winston... he has short arms.. then why are the people that put the mock drafts together rate a person so high? you'd figure they would consider that kind of stuff

yeah pretty much as i said, he has short arms and poor technique. good athleticism, but those short arms scare people off....he's physically talented enough to be a LT, but those arms MAKE him a RT.
