I'd love to have Herman Edwards come in, but it looks like the Jets have every intention of keeping him. Fischer would be welcome too.
I think the majority of being a head coach is being able to point out what is going wrong in the organization and fixing it ASAP. Capers hasn't been able to do that. The decision to get rid of Palmer was a little too obvious, so he doesn't get credit for that. But things like putting Pitts at LT. He should have been there after the 2nd or 3rd game of the season. I don't know who to blame for that, but Capers should have been on it ASAP. Telling Pendry to stop letting Carr throw those hitches last week. Taking over the defense for Fangio. These are things he needs to but hasn't been able to. And yeah, the majority of these problems seem to stem from the assistant coaches, but as a head coach, you've got to see recognize that and fix it. He needs to tell Pendry "Put Pitts at LT", he needs to tell Fangio "You suck, I'm taking over your job now". There are just so many problems out there that Capers hasn't been able to fix.
