I watched his Clemson, Miami, Penn St and North Carolina games. From my viewpoint I think he has as good of chance of developing in to a franchise QB as any QB in this class, if not more so. I like that he's a 5 year Senior and not a 3 year Junior. I like that he graduated in 3 years and scored a 33 on the Wonderlic. I think he has very good feet and a quick release. And Pro Football Focus had him rated as the best QB under pressure. He's in the Top 10 in Passing Efficiency and in the Top 5 in Yards per Completion, so he's not a dink and dunker. I like his accuracy and the way he leads his WRs to maximize their yards after catch.
Why he left Tennessee. He was recruited by Derek Dooley as a Pro Style QB. Dooley left after 1 year. Butch Jones the new HC recruited Josh Dobbs a dual threat QB his first year. Dobbs was more of a runner than a passer. Jones offense was not a pro style offense. Peterman graduated after 3 years and transferred to Pitt. Oh and BTW I think he will be a better NFL QB than anyone currently on the Texans roster.
