Ok we've had every other concievable thread, "Who won't be there at 13", "if they were available at 13" etc, etc, etc...now its "Who will be available at 13"?

right now a couple stand out to me: Strong Safety Thomas Davis & Cornerback Adam Jones. after extensive research on the CB position its really a toss up between Jones & Justin Miller, so the CB position looks very strong indeed with the 13th pick.

from here you could probably go right down the list-
  • Heath Miller
  • Shawne Merriman
  • Dan Cody
  • Jammal Brown
  • Troy Williamson
  • Elton Brown
  • David Baas
  • Justin Tuck
  • Anttaj Hawthorne
  • David Pollack
  • Carlos Rogers

of these available pool of players which one would you choose & why?

I'd have to take the "PacMan", because he's very similar to Dunta, & who wouldn't want to have 2 Dunta's on their team? :jumpbanan

I believe that we have to solidify our defense this year. By getting "PacMan", we're set at CB for the next several years. If we can manage to pick up Shazor with our 2nd round pick, then slide Earl over to FS, our secondary would be set. We could then pick up an OL & a couple of DL after that. Next year is when we'll get our dominant NT in the draft.

Having said all that, there is one player in my opinion, that will have to be considered for the 13th pick. That's Justin Tuck. He's a physical specimen with incredible speed & athleticism, that could make a devastating OLB. Can you say Jevon Kearse or Willie McGinest? Keep an eye on him & watch his stock skyrocket after the combines.

for those who don't know, Justin Miller is not only a top CB he also led the nation in kick-off returns @ 33.05 per touch & 21st in punt returns @ 13.04 yards. Adam "Pac-Man" Jones did not return kick-offs only punts & ranked 16th with a 14.57 average. We will see at the combines how they measure up size/speed wise, both are reported to be 4.4 or better but Justin may have him by an inch plus 10 lbs.

:hmmm:

I would limit my choices to Heath Miller, Justin Tuck, and Carlos Rodgers.

We don't have a consistent TE at all, so my pick would prolly be Heath Miller to give Carr an easy target to throw to over the middle. We can draft another CB later down the road to groom for Glenn's replacement but I'm pretty sure Dunta will be taking over the LCB position when Glenn is replaced anyway.
