Who do you want on Day 2?

We’re not scheduled until pick 65, but there’s a possibility that we could trade up. Which players are on your radar?

John Michael-Schmitz C
Luke Wypler C
Cedric Tillman WR
Keanu Benton DT
Julius Brents CB
Darius Rush CB
Brian Branch S
Sam LaPorta TE

Some of the same players, same positions.

C - Cody Mauch (covert to C), Wypler
WR - Rashee Rice, Jayden Reed
DT - Benton, Colby Wooden, Gervon Dexter
LB - Daiyan Henley, DeMarvion Overshown
S - Sydney Brown
CB - Jartavius Martin, Tyrique Stevenson
I like a lot of your guys that you listed.
I’ve actually listened to a few podcasts that suggested that Mauch’s best position would be to convert to C. It’s an intriguing idea.

I'm not that into converting players. Mauch will be gone in RD2, so I'm not going to waste my time.

I'm thinking:
OC- Ricky Stromberg (Arkansas) / RD3
OG- Andrew Vorhees (USC) / RD4

WR- Andrei Iosivas (Princeton) / RD4
WR- Tank Dell (Houston) / RD3

RB- Kendre Miller (TCU) / RD4

FB/H-Back/TE- Hunter Luepke (North Dakota State) / RD5

DT- Byron Young (Alabama) / RD3

DE- Mike Morris (Michigan) / RD5

LB- Noah Sewell (Oregon) / RD4
LB- Nick Herbig (Wisconsin) RD6

SS- JL Skinner (Boise State) / RD3
SS- Gerrvious Owens (Houston) / RD6

Center, Schmitz, Mauch, who I would trade into the 2nd for. Wypler,Tippman.

WR's Hyatt, Mingo, Mims, Iosivas

TE 's Washington, Mayer,LaPorta,Kraft, Musgrave, Kuntz

LB's Sanders, Henley, Pappe

CB's Brents, Rush, Phillips

S. Branch, Brown,

If the team still had 33 i’d be doing cartwheels to the podium for Mayer or Branch. Then randomly pull a card with a ten year starter’s name on it.

Are there experts on podcasts? It's better to read people's opinions on this forum, it will tell more.

Would have liked Drew Sanders or Mauch,I’m sure will be gone in the 2nd, maybe LaPorta too. Really miss our second round pick, cost too much to move up for Will.
Had the Texans not traded away the farm and had remained at #33 discussions about Joey Porter Jr and Cody Mauch would be ongoing discussions in my draft room.

Hopefully Will was worth it…would you be willing to trade up into the second? If so, I would not be willing to lose anymore picks next year. Who are your choices for our 2 thirds?

“Hopefully Will was worth it” I still can’t get over giving away basically 2 1’s for him🥲

I said before the draft that Caserio would trade away between 5 and 7 draft picks. I'll let you know my RD 3 picks close to the end of RD2. I didn't see Joey Porter Jr. falling out of RD 1. Example, say Slowik gets a hard-on for a TE, yes I could see Caserio trading up in RD 2.

BTW Jimmy Johnson and Bill Belichick built their dynasties by accumulating more draft picks than other teams, not less.

I would prioritize a Center, WR, then LB. TE would be nice, but we have Schulz for this year. RB and DT depth maybe as well with late picks. I could list a bunch of 2nd rounders, but gonna keep it real, maybe we get one 2nd, so only look at some 2nd rounders in C/LB:

C - John Michael-Schmitz C (would cost a 3rd and 4th to move up)
Mauch (May need to shuffle Kenyon to C?) Flexible player
Wypler (Probably a 3rd)
Tipman (Probably a 3rd)
WR - Mingo Lower 3rd
Dell Lower 3rd
LB - Sanders (Need to move up to 2nd)
Henley (lower 3rd)
Overshown (4th)
TE - Tucker Kraft (3rd)
Zach Kuntz (4th)
RB - Bigsby, Johnson, Abanikanda (3rd), Tucker, Gray, Mcintosh (4th)
DT - Young (3rd), Ojomo/Roy (4th)

If they like a Safety or CB, 5th or 6th round is my expectation, just need some depth and so draft some risk reward guys
Could draft Moody (K) and a QB with 7th. Maybe cut Fairburn for salary savings, but don't see them doing it. I would take a flyer on Duggan or Bennet just to kick tires, but think Nick and Stetson ain't getting together.
