Who do you blame for the texan's laughable '05 season?

I blame FEMA, for not recognizing the texans O-line as a disaster.
 
Everybody.

You can't just say that one person created a 2-14 season. The whole team got off track and never recovered. And, by whole team I mean players, coaches, front office, ownership, and fans.

I admit it, I boo'd the team. Sometimes teams respond to criticism and sometimes they don't. That team didn't.

We have a new team now and I like what I have seen so far this offseason.

Coaching staff - for not having the team fired up and playing w/ fire.

The Astros for getting to the World Series for the first time and getting swept - I think this is the one that broke the camel's back. It just carried over to the Rockets as well.
 
I refuse to play the blame game . Lets deal in the solutions to the problem not in the problem itself.
It was many different issues that brought us to this point. Lets move on.

The 3 Amigos were to blame, Casserly, Capers n' Carr. Casserly for his drafting, Capers for his coaching assistants and Carr for not having the kahunas to stand up to the afore mentioned and telling them what he felt needed to be done to help him (which in turn would help the team) in a more fired up manner...

By the way, where was the David Hasselhoff option, he should have got the blame for this disaster before Danza did...:yahoo:
 
I think Richard Justice nailed it on the head with Monday's column. Our coaching staff:homer: was way too patsy. They didn't "get in their face" and hold anyone accountable. Did you read that Parcells would make a player run wind sprint for jumping off sides. That would get your attention & make you think better next time!!!

man the season is over start looking forward to the next. We have our QB and staff pretty much complete. It is time to get ready for the draft and FA.
 
I think the majority of the blame goes to Casserly and Capers ...The main reason being they knew the biggest weakness on the team was along the O-line and did NOTHING to fix the problem . Sure Capers did TRY to mask the weaknesses with a flawed scheme ....Prior to the season David Carr was told point blank that the O-line would be FIXXED ....If Casserly calls getting sacked 68 times fixxed I'd hate to see broken .

Throw in the way J.Sharper and Aaron Glenn were handled .... and the P-Burnt deal and I think you have more than enough of a case against both head coach and GM.

If you've ever had the pleasure to watch even 1 second of the Tony Danza show you would know he's to blame for just about any problem in the world today... big or small. I heard the Taliban's battle cry is "Remember Tony Danza!!!!!"

R. Justice blames the enviroment with a side of coaches.

The single thing Gary Kubiak most needs to change can't be measured or timed or tested. It can't be bought or drafted or acquired in a trade.

If it were easy to do, every coach would. Teams that have it are never sure how it arrived. Those that lose it can't always figure out where it went.

It's an environment, a culture and a mindset.

It's winning. It's building an organization that accepts nothing less. It's putting winning above everything, making it the singular thing that drives coaches, players, scouts and trainers.

The Texans have never had it. They've never had the right mix of players. They've never had coaches who demanded enough.

Walk through their locker room after a defeat, and you don't get the feeling players are particularly upset. In four years, cornerback Dunta Robinson is the only guy I ever saw lose his cool. Defensive tackle Gary Walker came close a time or two, but he's injured too much to influence many others....

....Some have said David Carr doesn't have great leadership skills. This criticism might be valid, but until the Texans give Carr a chance to succeed, his leadership skills will be irrelevant. Vince Young would bring terrific leadership skills, but one player can't do what needs to be done.

So where does the new coach of the Texans begin?

"As an organization, you have to develop expectations," Kubiak said. "You develop those over a period of time. It's the players and coaches you bring in. Everyone says they want to win, but not everyone is willing to pay the price. You have to get guys willing to do that.".....
