Who could help the TEXANS in the draft? Look and see!

FILOMAN

Gridiron, Tx
Round 1: Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon 5'11 230/ Slaton if there.

Round 3: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB Tenn. St. 6'2 178/ Trade into 2nd
round if you have to. He's big and super fast.

Round 4: Dexter Jackson WR App. St. 5'10 180

Round 5: Jared Gaither OT Maryland 6'8 335/ May need some grooming but
has size to be LT for long time

Round 6: Best S there/ if not traded to move up

Round 7: Best OLB there/ if not traded to move up

I know that Kub doesn't think he needs a RB in the first rd. but we need alot of helpe in this position. I also know what some of you are thinking. Some of these guys are from small schools but just look at the 3rd rd. last year Jacoby Jones Lane College. I think these players should be there when we need them and that they could help us alot.

It's of course too early to say, but I think the coaches are so high on Chris Taylor (I'm not, and I don't think most of us fans are, but the coaches seem to be) that they won't draft a RB that early unless there's someone on the board that they simply cannot pass up. They clearly are grooming Fred Bennet to be the #2 CB of the future, so I also don't think they go that route in the first round. At this point I'd guess either S or OL in the first round... depending of course on where they pick and if there's a huge stud on the board unexpectedly.

I like the idea of a runningback in the first round. This offense relies on the run game, so runningbacks are important.

Cromartie is one of the best small school prospects this year. He will probably go in the mid 2nd. He will need some time to adjust though, he relies on his athleticism alot.

If the Texans do go reciever, it wont be a small guy. We have speed guys, Mathis, Jones, Davis, AJ. Of those, only AJ and maybe Jacoby have the size. A big reciever is more likely.

*cough*

LEFT TACKLE!

Yeah, what he said.

I don't know how much longer we can assume:

1. That Charles Spencer comes back
2. That when he does, he won't be prone to re-injury
and
2. That he will play at the same level he left at and will continue to get better

LOL - oops. I'm not one to edit my mistakes - I'll leave it out there for everyone to see!

What I meant was:
1.
2.
C.

But yeah - lost in all this Spencer hope and speculation is whether or not he'll be any good. I don't even remember if he was that for the short time he played. I really hope it works out though... we need the big man.

Thanks I'll be here all week!

we need a running back unless theres a good FA we can get

RB then LT then safety

I see him coming out regardless of what other underclassmen do. Arkansas is not going anywhere anytime soon and all he has to do is look at Michael Bush for what can happen by staying for your senior season.

He is averaging an insane 10.5 yards per carry and his stats won't be any better once McFadden leaves.

Gaither was drafted by the Ravens in the Supplemental Draft

And besides that....if he were coming out he'd be in the top four or five OLT canidates. He wouldn't of slipped into the second day. Nice try though. Look you want a great left tackle you're going to hae to draft him befor the fifty spot. Wanna give th other propects on the roter company while we wait untill they pan out...draft 'em day two.
