Where will the Saints go after this season?

I might have a strong feeling that the Saints will be playing at The Alamodome starting next season. there is absolutely no way they will be going to L.A. L.A. is doing much better without the NFL. If think San Antonio would be a good fit for this team. It has a great Football Stadium, This city has welcomed them with open arms. I'm proud to say that the saints have found a great home. The fans are well-supported. It would be great to see them against the Texans & the Cowboys (Since we're geographically well-connected). I hope one of these days The Superdome will be razed. New Orleans has been a hot spot for tourists, But now they are facing harsh reality from Katrina & Rita. This city is BELOW sea level. It COULD be vanished real soon. Before the Saints landed here, it WAS a dirt poor town, It STILL is. I'm glad the Saints have moved to a higher ground, as well as the Hornets. The Hornets will be playing their home games in OKC for at least 2 seasons. Their venue is in tip-top shape, but Right now is not a good time to have events there. Most of the conventions are now diverted to other cities, including Houston, Dallas, SA and Atlanta. NO's big loss has been a big gain for those cities. I think New Orlleans will be a stronger city, but all of its evacuees are NOW calling Houston-Home. This is what I call a win-win situation-For the state of Texas. :texans:
 
The attendance is being reported around 59,000. That's not a good sign for a 65,000 seat stadium and the other two teams in the state are playing on the road (Dallas in Oakland...Houston in Cincinatti).

I'd like to see them stay in San Antonio as well. But they're going to have to do a better job of making a case that they can support a team. That means selling out every game with people still standing in line for tickets.
 
Well i hope they stay in san antonio i wouldnt mine rooting for a team thats commited to winning.

The Saints will be playing Atlanta on the 16th in SA. They got one more game there on Christmas Eve against Detroit. The next four will be played over at LSU's Tiger Stadium. This is a much BIGGER place (It only holds 94,000 die-hard Tiger fans) than the Alamodome. The Tiger Fans are much better fans than the Saints. On a normal day, This place is fully packed. but wait until they play Miami on the 30th, only half of the stadium's capacity will bother to show up. On the other hand, The Arizona Cardinals has been sharing Sun Devil Stadium with ASU for about 20+ years They have great bedfellows with ASU. Their owner, Mr. Bidwell has been a major ASU contributor since his team moved from St. Louis back in 1987. Now this is their final season there. The Cards will be playing their home games at their own stadium next season. We are planned to play them on December 18th here. They won by the way in Mexico. I think the Saints will have a stronger campaign after this season, and they might make San Antonio their permanent home. After all.
 
That the Saints could playing in L.A. next season instead of La. Mr Tagliabue would love to have a franchise there. In 3 years from now, the Saints will return to N.O. when they play over at a new stadium will be rebuilt where the Superdome once stood. I think this is going to be a win-win, while the Hornets will play the next 2 seasons in OKC. :texflag:
 
The Saints will stay in Lousiana and play at LSU. Using a creative schedule(ala Arizona State/Arizona Cardinals) the Saints and Tigers will split homegames.

Below is an interesting article about the New Orleans stadium clause....Right now i think its pretty much up in the air...But when i saw how many tickets were sold for the Oct 30th Saints game at LSU, i thought that was pretty bad, considering LSU had no problems filling their stadium for Tigers games and the tickets were going for $40 - 4game packs (Baton Rouge), Yes thats $40 for ALL 4 games there...Granted yes, that is Tiger territory, but if they also want to support the Saints, then they will need to sell more then 25,000 tickets too just as SA was told...SA had 2 wks to prepare and sell tickets to their first game, LSU had over a month with only close to 25,000 sold....Right now New Olreans fans having bigger worries then attending a football game, so it just seems pointless to have them play at LSU when PPL can not afford or have the means to even attend the games....They say the Capactiy for the Saints games at LSU will be 79K though the stadium can hold 91K....

The Sugar Bowl Committee has selected Atlanta to replace New Orleans for its annual New Years' day match-up. They selected Atlanta because That city has more hotel rooms than Baton Rouge, The closest city to New Orleans. Even though Tiger Stadium has more seats than the SuperDome, Baton Rouge sounds more like a Motel 6/Crazy 8 type of a city. There are NO luxurious hotels out there. I believe Atlanta will pull things off-Having to host ALL 3 games in one venue, in one weekend. They have their own bowl game, and the Falcons will play Arizona in the middle of that weekend. I guess they will be luring in more fans to the GA Dome, While H-town's consolation from the SuperDome will be hosting the annual Bayou State showdown between Southern University vs. Grambling State A tradition that has been playing since the SuperDome has opened. Hopefully things WILL return to norm next season when both events will return to BR or NO next season.

TICKET UPDATE: In the past 72 hours, the Saints have seen the tickets-sold number for their Oct. 30 Baton Rouge opener vs. Miami at LSU's Tiger Stadium rise to nearly 25,000. Capacity for Saints games at Tiger Stadium is 79,000, with ticket prices starting at $15. The Saints will play four games at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, starting with Miami on Oct. 30, Chicago on Nov. 6, Tampa Bay on Dec. 4 and Carolina on Dec. 18.

With a release of tickets held for Saints Superdome ticket-holders today, the club also announced that slightly more than 2,000 tickets remain available for their upcoming home game to be played vs. Atlanta on Oct. 16 at the Alamodome. For each Saints game this season, tickets are held for Superdome ticket-holders until 10 days before each respective contest. Including the upcoming Atlanta game, the Saints have two remaining contests at the Alamodome in 2005, the other being a Dec. 24 matchup with Detroit.

get that deal here in Houston did we ? Oh wait I almost forgot, Perry is running for reelection next Fall and needs some help on the vote in the heavily Hispanic/Democratic SA area.
