Whats up with Davis?

THEFUTURE

Rookie
How is Domanick Davis doin? im wonderin what he thinks about the texans inconsistent and usually bad running game.... you dont really hear much about him anymore, but he has to have some thoughts on how the team is playing... and how his knee is feeling now that he has the season off

The doctors have told him he will have to get used to playing with pain in his knee since it's nearly a bone-on-bone condition, but DD says he won't play until the pain goes away.

So, let your imagination run wild if you think he'll ever play again.

I think DD has played his final NFL game. When your knee is bone-on-bone, NFL stands for Not For Long.

Honestly, I think DD has his bonus money & probally gonna ride into the sunset to raise 'pitbulls'.

Ok Davis has said he will not play again until his knee is 100%. He has bone on bone contact, he refuses to go under the knive again, and he is what he is. A RB with bad wheels.

Also the team giving him the year on the IR changes how the team gets to deal with the cap. They would have had to give him an injury settlement to cut him, which would have amounted to close to the salary he would be getting this year. By putting him on the IR they get a roster space, they force Davis to sit and rest the leg.

Come spring time, when he starts to run again, either he will have missed the game enough to play with the pain that will always be there, or he will call it quits.

By having DD retire, the team saves the injury settlement, and the team can ask for some of the bonus money back, (probably will not be done). And they bought another year to spread the Bonus Money on the cap to. Smart move business wise, so this could not have been thought up by Casserly, besides he was gone before training camp when this all became very clear there was a bigger problem.

i wonder if he will change his mind after this year about having sugery, and not being able to play, i hope he decides to go under the kife, for the sake of the texans, but its his call, and if he does retire, i wonder if the texans would keep him as like a RB coach or just helpin out the RB's on the team?

If it is bone on bone he is done he might try a came back but it won't last long reminds me of Bagwells bad shoulder. Credit to Bagwell he tried to play regardless of the pain but bone on bone is very painful and takes alot of drugs to get through if you are playing.

To me it doesn't look like any of the runningbacks in the mix have the potential that Dominic Davis had and/or still has. Has anyone heard the latest on Davis? Is he progressing along well in his his rehab?:homer: :homer: Does it look like he's going to be 100% by next year? Any news out there?

He's soft.

Ask a MMA fighter, pro bull rider, moto/supercross, X-gamer, if they would ever say what DD has said, and DD makes 100x what most of them do.

DD needs to be cut and be gone.

Soft? After everything he did for this team? I've got an idea, let's remove the tissue in your knee so you have bone on bone contact and then let's tell you you're going to have to learn to play with the pain. Let's see how not-soft you are.

Domanick has the kind of problem that ends careers.
