What's their record gonna be??????

I got pretty familiar with the Bills when I was preparing for a Mock Draft we did on this board awhile back before the April draft. It was definately hard to do alot in a 3 round mock when one of the teams that you're drafting for is w/o a 1st Round pick. I thought Donahoe did a pretty good job with the picks. It seems as though the Bills have all the tools in place for Losman to succeed, and I'd expect him to have a year similar to Carson Palmer had last season (18 TDs and 18 INTs). He had a similar rookie year experience minus the injury in TC as Losman. Losman will have a pretty stacked offense with a very good RB much like Palmer, but Losman has the added advantage of a very good defense to minimize his mistakes. That could lead to 9 or 10 wins, and when your in the same division as the Jets and the Patriots then you'll definately need every W you can get.

I just cant see us losing the home opener with a healthy defense (we missed Vincent and Milloy a bit last year, Milloy was gone for the first 4 games).

That being said we all know the biggest question mark is Losman

You answered your own question here.

I cant say this a for sure win for the bills by any means, but alot of fans seems to think or atleast from predictions that the bills game will be an easy W.

A word of advice on that "easy W" for you. There isn't one. Last season we opened against "the worst team in the NFL" (or at least that's what everyone said they'd be before the season started) and the Texans had, in their two previous seasons beaten the Cowboys on opening night and the Dolphins at their house on opening day (and that is not a common occurance).

We lost to the Chargers. Everyone here (including myself) had that one marked down as an "easy W". It's going to be a good game and the Bills will be favored (as they should be) but it won't be an easy win.

Actually, I was commenting your fans in this thread over 80% of them has this marked down as a win and I think this a much harder game than Houston fans think. But I will take this as we hardly see each other in the season and may know little about the bills and their personal.

I wasnt saying that the bills would get an easy win.

The Bills game will be tough, probably a really close game IMO. with that said, i think the difference will be Losman's inexperience, which will turn into turnovers on his part. I'd expect the Bills to be alot tougher later in the season as Losman matures. I think us playing the Bills as our first game gives us a better chance to win. You really have to take Losman's inexperience as a big part of the outcome of this game. I mean really, do you think he's just gonna go out and have a great game? i just think buffalo will struggle a bit early on in the season and make a good run towards the end of the year. and it really wouldn't surprise me if Buffalo and Houston were the two wild card teams.

Your right I do nto expect him to go out and have a great game. He doesnt have to though, we have one of the best defenses in the league and a great ST. He isnt going to be asked to win games he is going to be asked to stay in games. He will have a powerful running game with Willis and although our o-line is not known for his pass-blocking the are an excellent run blocking unit and only improved with big Benny Anderson.

Like I said early I dont expect the deer in the headlights with him. He watched a season from the bench, got a little playing time last year so it would be his first time out, has had two training camps and preseason games. I think he is coming into a great situation. Carson Palmer, Eli Manning, even David Carr all weren'ts supported with a great Defense and pretty much had the weight of the world on there shoulders. Now a player like Ben (I am not saying Losman will duplicate anything Big Ben did) was asked to do very little in terms of winning the game, he had a great running game and great defense which is one of the reasons I think he was so successful.

But it will be a fun game and I cant wait till the season starts!

I get you. I wasn't predicting an easy win either though from my one line "blurb" I can see how it might look that way. I'm actually predicting it as a very tough win and it's important to the rest of my season scenario. I think winning the Buffalo game will be the kind of road win that starts something rolling. If I'm right and the Texans do get by the Bills then they'll have done something significant.

If the Bills beat us then there's no shame in that. I believe Buffalo is an up and coming team too and capable of beating anyone they play.

Looking forward to it CAbills. Wish I could come up there and see it in person but I'm pretty sure the wife is going to balk at the plane tickets, nevermind the game tickets. I'll have to sit and watch it from Fort Living Room.

Welcome CAbills! It's nice to get a little different perspective around here for a change. IMO, this is largely a dangerously in-bred homer board so a little outside viewpoint is sorely needed from time to time. The Bills should be and will be favored vs. the Texans in the opening game. Not by much though. It should be a good game. Probably low scoring. Losman's a rookie and if we could somehow manage to get pressure on him we could make it difficult for him. Rookies need more time back there. Unfortunately, our DL wouldn't know a sack if it bit them in the backside so Losman will probably have all day to find his receivers.

Believe it or not the week one lines are already out! I think Bills are favored by like 4, but usually the home teams gets an automatic 3, so it looks like the bookies feel this game could easily go either way. Dont worry we have to deal with the same 19-0 superbowl homers on our board, every team gets them, its like a disease. :)

I think we go 9-7 but I have us here with 10 wins after an 0-3 start (this board will come unglued from the knee-jerks). I think it will take a few games to get our new revamped linebackers on the same page. We only return one stater who will be in the same position from last year.

If Vinny was right they could still go 9-7. Whew-hew... improvement and another year of Capers ball!

I figured we would lose our first 3 but I thought we would look like an NFL team in those losses. I've never seen a team struggle so much in the passing game as we have. No way we win 9 now....we would have to go 9-3 the rest of the way but we can't even toss a mid range pass or convert a 3rd down. If we play .500 ball the rest of the way I'd be shocked.

Vinny......In all seriousness I doubt we win a game this year.
