What Would You Do If...

lets say we get #1 overall (Very Likely) and SF gets #2 Overall..

we trade down to the #2 spot..
(Cause the Niners will be drooling for Reggie Bush)

and pick up and extra 2nd and 3rd from SF and then.. lets say ummm New Orleans wants to trade up to get Leinart.. and we get an extra 2nd and 3rd from then.. then what would your draft look like..

1 - DE Mario Williams
2 - OT Marcus McNeil
2 - OLB Thomas Howard
2 - S Greg Blue
3 - TE Joel Klopfenstein
3 - OT Daryn Colledge
3 - CB Cedric Griffin
3 - CB Anwar Phillips

In my opinion this would fix almost every problem we have with our team..

(Switching to a 4-3 Defense)
With Mario Williams on the DLine with Walker, Smith and Johnson.. they are sure to have QBs running for their lives and throwing before recievers can finish their routes.. and with the proper motivator.. Peek and/or Babin will recieve the spark they need to be good pass rushers..

Marcus McNeil is a awesome tackle HUGE.. with amazingly quick feet for his size.. a solid anchor on the OLine..

Howard is a DEMON for those of you that havent seen him play.. you really should.. this guy could come in a start for 75% of NFL teams RIGHT NOW..

Greg Blue is a Big Time playmaker, very instinctive and good tackle could take over anybody's spot in our "Musical Chairs" or Safeties..

Klopfenstein.. big strong and fast.. If Joppru doesnt get it together this year.. Klopfenstein adds another dimension to the Texan's offense and if he does.. then oh well.. 2 Good TEs could be a dream come true for our next O-Coordinator..

Colledge is a good Solid Tackle could easily have both of our tackles riding the pine..

Then Cedric Griffin and Anwar Phillips.. can come in a take one of those spots and we can try them out at Saftey also it couldnt hurt..

I think those would be two really bad trades. You can get a lot more for both players than an extra 2nd and 3rd round pick.

1) We already have the Saints third round pick for this year.
2) We could pick up a 2nd and 3rd round pick in each trade and probably pick up a 2nd rounder for next year in each trade too, or we could try to pick up a veteran player in one of the trades (maybe trade with the Jets the second time and get John Abraham and some picks). In the 49ers trade, we could swap first rounders, pick up their 3rd and 4th rounders this year and ast rounder next year, then trade down with someone else and get a 2nd and 3rd rounder this year and maybe a 2nd rounder for next year, so we'd have two 2nd rounders, four 3rd rounders, and two 4th rounders this year and two 1st rounders and two 2nd rounders next year.
3) In a 4-3 Walker, Payne, Robaire, and Travis Johnson are not DEs. We could move Babin down to DE and would likely need to draft another one (you have us picking Mario Williams in this case)
