What it's like to be cut in the nfl

Good read. I always felt bad for guys that are cut during Hard Knocks. Even when Ocho was cut from the Phins I felt for him.

A lot of hard work just to get cut has to be hard on guys

Great read...and one of the reasons I always worry about players who didn't get their degrees while in college.

Probably feels like getting fired, which is what it is, and that never feels good.

Great article and very interesting insight into the mind of a football player during one of the lowest moments of their career. I look forward to part 2.

Myself as well. Hope it's posted as a reminder but will keep an eye out for it too.

Whether it's the end of high school, college or the pros, at some point it's over, and it's the end of an episode in life.

At least in high school or college you know it's coming to an end. With so many pros, the end comes suddenly, without warning, and with tremendous disappointment, simultaneously dashing hopes and dreams. The article makes that pretty clear.

As bad as it must be to be on the receiving end of such news, I wouldn't want to have to deliver it to these young guys either. Tough job for these coaches.

I bookmarked this five months ago with the intention of reading it a little sooner than today...lol.

My heart goes out to the man. He seems like a really likable, nice person, and I was sorry to see he never got on with KC or Detroit.

I hope, since he said he never got his degree, that he decided to get that done assuming he still had some NFL pay laying around.

Good read, even five months later.
