Guy's he wasn't serious. The article is a JOKE. He's forever been a longhorn and a Vince lover so he's trying to discourage Reggie by telling him the city sucks so he can get what he really wants which is Vince Young......He has accepted the fact that the Texans aren't going to draft his man lover, so he's making light of the whole thing. It was an attempt at being funny, not offensive. Though I'll agree it was a poor attempt, I think maybe some of you guys are not taking it the way it was intended. Just a dumb joke by RJ, one that flew right over most of your heads....

joke (jōk)
n.
Something said or done to evoke laughter or amusement, especially an amusing story with a punch line.
A mischievous trick; a prank.
An amusing or ludicrous incident or situation.

Survey says: BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT. Not even close.

The more I read Justice, it seems like he tries to be like Rick Reilly of Sports Illustrated. He tries adding that witty, sarcastic style to his writing and it doesn't work out. Rick Reilly's columns are humorous. Justice's are just...bland when they don't involve baseball. I love Justice's baseball columns, but when he talks about anything other than that, they aren't very good.

Oh, I'm well aware of the definition, but thanks for that. There is something called a stupid joke or a dumb joke, they do exist. Just because one doesn't find it funny doesn't take away the intent. Don't take it so seriously next time, he wasn't trying to put down the city, only acting like the city sucked so Reggie might pull an Eli Manning and we could draft Young instead.

You know, I don't even like Richard Justice, but I defend him on this one. I mean hell, his blog sparked a debate in this thread on the crime rate in Houston and the comparison between here and LA. Please, I can at least see the intent here. It was a poor attempt, but my god he was only TRYING to be funny, not piss everyone off.....I'm on board, lighten up!
