The Chronicle's Lopez is so "man love" over the top on Bush that he reduces DD to...."Davis is ok.Servicable." News flash Lopez, no matter what you think of Reggie which is obviously in the range of "get a room", DD has earned a lot more respect than you are giving him.

And spare us all the condescending dribble about any move other than Bush no matter what we could get for him in a trade being stupid...comparisons to Michael Jordan etc...:brickwall

Lopez is an *****. He has forgotten busts like Lawrence Phillips, Curtis Enis and Archie Griffin. Dom Davis is going to get close to 1200 yards this season on a team that won't win more than four games, at best. That's much, much more than serviceable. The Texans would be complete *****s if they didn't try to trade their top pick away. They need help in the defensive backfield, they need help in pass rushing, they need help in pass protection and they need help in rushing defense. To ignore that and take one player believing he's the answer would be a real stupid move.
 
I've reached a point with Lopez that I take his perspective with a grain of salt. His opinion is no better or no worse than any other fan at this point.

The Michael Jordan comparisons are silly in football. It's just a different beast than basketball. There are no comparisons, IMO.
 
Bush will be better than Gale Sayers, Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, and Tomlison all in one. He is a "once in 40 years" type of talent!

DD is no better than a backup on 28 of 32 NFL teams! :sarcasm:

Yeah, maybe I should learn from you DB about Lopez and just sigh but for some reason the Chronicle in general and Lopez in particular are really ticking me off these days regarding the Texans. I wish the Post was still an option.:brickwall
 
Where is Megan Manful? Who is the voice of the fan, no disrespect to AJ's service here, at the Chronicle? It is quite clear to me that ther is a seriuos disconnect between this board and the paper.

How has the broadcast media been on the Texans with the Reeves and Bush subjects?
 
So i am not the only one whose writing a fire Lopez letter. All that article made me want to do is trade down more and get Winston from Miami.
 
I have found from personal experience that every time I hear anything from Lopez and McClain that I am led to believe the complete opposite of what they say. I guess that's what happens when the only people writing about sports in the media here are "journalists" that don't know anything about sports and are looking to create a sensationalist article that will attract readers with its trash. The only reason I occasionally check on the Chronicle website or listen to the radio for their opinions is to get a quick laugh out of the idiocy of their thoughts.
