Smart money is on NYG. They seem to be a strong team this year, and the Texans are still unable to string together strong performances.

Well good to see someone here has confidence in his team, albeit only 1 guy so far voted.

So much for anonymity :P

I voted Giants by more than 7. Phil Simms steps out of the booth after Mario knocks your QB's out of the game and drops 400yds and 4 TD's.

I think we will be soundly beaten, but I do expect a much better effort by our guys. I'm not as interested in score but seeing the team that I saw against Jaguars.

Just the fact that we're a lousy road team going into one of the best homefields in the NFL has the odds highly stacked against us. Add to the fact that the Giants are a good team and we're suffering from inconsistency and a lack of talent...this one could be brutal to watch.

I will never root against the Texans in one of these polls.

There is a one in a billion chance of this happening but I foresee the game coming down to a 53 yard FG kick by Chadwick (Kris Brown will get injured on a kickoff).

I was right vs. the Jags (Texans +7)
I was wrong vs. the Titans, but not as wrong as most (Texans 0-7)

It's time to be right vs. the Giants! (Texans 0-7)

Why will we win? Because everyone on this board thinks we'll lose.

That actually makes sense.

This whole board marke us a W before the game last week & the opposite is happening this week.

Coincidence? I think not.

We're going to get destroyed, because Carr (and hopefully ONLY Carr and not the entire team) has already decided we're beat.

Us losing last week was a freak accident. We should have won that game 6 ways from Sunday.

But mayit would be nice to pull a big upset.

If only that were true. Unfortunately, the Texans forum can't block Michael Strahan.

Didn't you hear? The fan noise is so low in Giants stadium that the coach had to make it an issue this week. Without needing to worry about false starts, our line will finally show us why they're worth their contracts! I can see the sideline interview now ...

"So, David, everyone expected you to lose this game, but you're up by 37 late in the 2nd quarter. What do you attribute this performance to?"

"Well, for some reason, I'm finding it a little easier to throw today. Oh, can you hang on a sec? Owen just got open again ... pretty decent spiral on that TD, huh? Now, um, what was your question again?"

D. Carr told you we were going to lose? Really? We as fans wouldn't accept it if the team with into the game with a losing mentality, so why should we as fans be allowed that mentality? Yes, it's going to be difficult, yes, the odds are against us, but anything can happen.

It has been hard for the last two years. They may noy be the 86 Giants but every week we get on here and talk them up we do have faith in them but after let down after let down you have to stop and say hey the way we have played there are teams we just are not going to beat this year. I prey we win I do but it is easier to sit here and say they won't win this week and hope for a upset then to say we are going to destroy you and we end up playing like we did last Sunday.

You guys need more faith in your team. You're not playing 86 Giants here.

We lost to the TITANS last week even though we dominated almost every statistical category except turnovers and the score. Carr, who had been making progress so that even the people who hate him were having to admit he was making progress, just imploded and got himself benched for the first time in his career. We went into that game really thinking we were going to win it and to lose like that really knocked us around. It was a tough loss.

We'd been waiting all year for our running game to show up and when it does, we lose. WTH? Our defense starts looking good, holds a team to 87 yards passing, and we still lose. WTH?

It was hard. You're seeing the hangover from that. Combined with the fact that very few of us thought we were going to beat the Giants even before the year started and this is what you get. :)

There's a possiblity that we beat you guys and I'll be in front of my TV watching every play hoping for it to happen. And it will be Tivo'd and I'll watch it multiple times regardless of what the final score is. :redtowel:

As much as i would like for us to win i just don't see the Giants Playing down to our level i say the giants by 17. Eli is looking like the real deal and lets not get started on Barber he wont Rush for any Td's on us but he will rush for 120 and 50 receiving. let hope Burres misses the game or else we really need some help.

With or w'out Plaxico, with or w'out Barber scoring TD's, we will lose but not like most people think. The Giants will want to get through this game with no injuries and yet still walk away with the win so I'll take the G-Men by 13...

Gotta be optimistic here. I know that you asked for honesty.
Texans 24
Giants 21.
At the beginning of the season, I predicted a 10 - 6 record. We are just about out of losses. So, we need to get the wins. Could happen.:hides:

I see Carr coming out strong after the sit last week. In the end though I don't think it will be enough, 27-17 Giants. We may have a few of our key starters out so I'm not predicting a blow out like most Giants fans are. When Carr and Johnson can get their chemistry going, it's a really hard thing to defend.

I'm also predicting that Shockey will have a strong impact for the Giants and comes away with a big game.

I think this will be a nail biter come from behind win for the texans in the 4th quarter. Texans 27 Giants 23

I picked Texans by less than 7 because sooner or later we have to win a road game. We cant possibly lose them all can we?
Sooner or later that blind squirrel is gonna find a nut. I just hope he's looking in New York.
