WEEK 8 AROUND THE NFL

14-14 at the half
Very interesting first half. Slowed down and became flag-ridden after the first couple of possessions by each team.

Vikings LT hurt with 20 seconds left in the half. Did not look good

I wholeheartedly believe that you can't tell who a team is by the first 4 or 5 weeks of the season. One, the way they practice & handle the preseason games don't really have anything to do with actual on the field football. Second, every team is new at the beginning of the season & carry over from one season to the next in terms of strategy & overall ability isn't great. Sure, Kelce is going to be Kelce & Mahomes is going to be Mahomes, but they've got to figure out how all the other pieces are going to work with them.

So you can have a team like the Vikings start off 5-0 & a team like the Rams can actually be the better team at 2-3....... I'm not saying that is the case only that it can happen.

I guarantee more teams will give Jonathan Greenard more attention after watching the first 5 games than those first 5 teams did. & there's film on Darnold now with Justin Jefferson & their run game so teams will be better prepared to face them than those first 5 teams were.

& that's what we'll see over the second 5 games. Teams have figured out who they are, who they're not & they've got the skinny on the other team & it's all about coaching now. Putting your players in the best position to win.

4 games, 5 games... those are just arbitrary numbers I'm throwing out there. it's going to be different for every team, but it's usually some time in November when we start seeing good teams being good teams & bad teams being bad teams. & that's when we'll know if we've got a Super Bowl team or not... imo.

Looking at the box score of the Jets game i’m wondering how they lost.

They are a broken squad at 2-6. Season is spiraling out of control. Maybe Rodgers will take Thursday night off to go trick or treating?

Yea I wonder what kind of team the Texans will see in New Jersy Thursday ?
Will they be PO'd and fired up, or will they just be totally I don't give a crapp because we got no
chance to make the P/Os this year so our season is over?
 
Steelers strike quickly but have TD called back due to facemask penalty on OL. Steelers go up 3-0
 
That first drive the Steelers took the #1 sack leader out of the game by running the ball with great sucess
 
I’ve always wondered why more DBs don’t try to knock receivers out of bounds like that. The one time the rule changed in favor of the defense & they don’t take advantage of it.
 
How could Pickens not know he didn't get his foot down? It looked like he held it up on purpose
