Week 2 Gameday: Steelers at Texans

This game started offensively like all other games for us. Basically 2 runs and a pass and its all over and the other team gets a good drive going. I still say we have as many problems defensively as we do offensively. Most of you don't think of it that way, but the defense does not allow our offense a chance to get started. Are we bad offensively? Oh, yes, but a lot of it is pressure and lack of confidence and success. We never can relax and get a start. We are as tight as a drum and the play calling SUCKS and that's being polite. I still think Mathis will make a difference when he can play, but the other teams no that too and will target him. Basically this team has 3 offensive players playing 3 on 11. Kind of unfair when you think about it.

I just cant give up

No matter how hard I try to change the channel, and not watch, I just can't bring myself to do it. Time for a ''at least we have a team to cheer for'' moment.

Including the times he sacked himself, right? I'm sure Interim Head Coach Capers will quickly point out on Monday that those sacks weren't the fault of the offensive line. Like that matters.

I can understand the offense will struggle against the numbers 1 and 2 defenses. But BUF and PIT don't have great offenses. You would like the defense to keep us in it at least a little bit.

Are we really this bad or is the team laying down for some much needed coaching changes??? I still say Pitt 38 Hou 10 With the First Pick In The NFL Draft The Houston Texans Select ...Blah Blah Blah (Punter)From Can't Play Community College. This is how good Charley Casserly is at picking talent. Does anyone think that we could have used a couple of Offensive Linemen or Defensive Linemen??? No let's get more Wide Receivers that we can cut before the season begins...Yeah Bob Mcnair where are you??? Is it still too early to panic 0-2 ??? Of course not. Deja-Vu...

What coach is out there that we could talk to?

Well thankfully Wannstedt's moved on to destroy a college team now, so there's no danger of that....

:bomb:

I am actually terrified that the calls for Jimmy Johnson could actually get some credibility.

I still think Glenn and Sharper are gone because they were critical of the coaching staff and challenging what they were doing. If you look at the 1st qtr of the Bills game our offense was off the field 90% of the time and the defense never stopped the Bills. Your offense can get no rythm and the Bills did that by design. This is a very talented ball club being destroyed by the coaching staff. They have lost all confidence.

Like I say when the other team has to be worried about two other players besides the QB it becomes an easy game. Gaffny is not 100% and he is hurting from a lack of inactive during preseason. Bradford is always what Bradford is. When they say he started to learn how run routes this preseason you just have to shake your head when they keep that guy over Kasper, Swinton and Starling. That's not Carr's fault, the fans' fault, the team's fault or the owner's fault. That is the coaches and GM and McNair needs to walk into the locker room after this game and give them all pink slips. It won't make it immediately better, but it will be a start.

Can we get some blockers on Special Teams????

And how is it that you have such good receivers and they hardly ever touch the ball?

How many draft picks will we give away for some ****** player that isn't wanted by his own team or that Doomed Capers wants to bring along SLOWLY this next draft??? While the other rookies are making impacts on their team, Doomed Capers will sit or cut most of our rookies...

Dom Davis is a lousy blocker.

Why don't the Texans put a fullback back there to block....like Moose Johnston use to do?

Amen.

To whoever asked, the Dom Capers Show is on SportsRadio 610 AM every Monday from 5pm to 6pm.

I don't know the number but if you tune in they'll give it out every couple of minutes or so.

If CBS announcers who can't get their team/player names right can call out the Texan playcalling, you know something is wrong........
