Week 2 Gameday: Steelers at Texans

...and just when you think Peek won't screw up again.....15-yd. Personal Foul for a 1st down! :brickwall

Put Banks in for the last drive? what could it hurt

Are you kidding? Can you imagine what would happen to Banks with that Oline/RB blocking we have? At least Carr can avoid a couple with his athleticism.

Another sack. Wheres the o/l?

One thing that I'm glad about is that even with Carr taking all these sacks, he's not making wild throws. He's pissed when he gets up, but he's not just throwing the ball out there.

True, but the self-inflicted, no-contact "sacks" are stupid-bad.

One thing Mc Nair will see, look at the empty seats !
empty seats are no big deal as long as they are sold... it's those unsold seats that are a problem... so far ticket sales has not been lacking.. only scattered single tickets were available for this game

Comeon peeps what do you expect against 2 of the game s best defense . We are not a playoff team so dont expect world beaters But we will win at least 7 of last 14 games :fishing: Texas Proud

True !

I think Carr could direct his frustration though. He has had his mess ups today too, but dang to have the same amount of sacks from last week?? C'mon.

Yes, but consession sales are a big item going down the tube. It doesn't look good to the NFL either.

Yes, if we get rid of the C staff.

Yeah, Carr definitely needs to learn to throw the ball out of bounds once he gets outside the pocket. But he can't do a whole lot about most of the sacks the Steelers have had this game.

Yeah, but what happens next season when you don't sell those seats?

Gas is getting kind of high to come see your home team lose like this - hate to put it out there.

If you're planning on selling those seats again next year, you'd better show you care. Season tickets=TV. The Dolphins' season-ticket sales took an unbelievable dive this year because they kept defending Wannstedt's regime for so deep into the season that people lost interest in the team as it got worse.

Now, it looks like they're turning things around quickly, and they're still gonna have to battle the blackout rule every week. No TV, no local visibility. And plummeting interest.

*EDIT* And I did notice that at no time did Nick Saban say he was putting in a "4-year plan," even though the Fish were worse than the Texans last year.

Never mind. We won't even get the ball back. I like Cowher's "rub salt into the wounds" mentality, we need a coach like that.

Yeah. We do need a coach like that. I'm REALLY hoping that some offensive players can show some fire. Where is Leon??? He'd tell you about it.

Great team victory Steelers !!! Great Job.

28 times on pass plays, Carr was under durress. Sacked, hurried, confused.
The Jumbo package with three tight ends does not work,..unless your faking a run from it and throwing out of it. If we ever see it in a game situation again this season with this personel, Palmer should be tared & featherd and run out of town. Everything the Oakland guys told us about Buchanan is true.
The goal line play when Pburnt was in the hole with Parker is classic. He looked like a deer in the caught in the head lights. If it was Earl, The Buss, I could understand it. His play was just heartless. Babs cannot rush the passer. Babs will never be able to rush the passer. Babs is a bust.
I hope Carr gets injured soon so we could IR him. No one should be exposed to this coaching or this tallent level. Eight sacks, good greif. Armstrong should be starting @ the #2 reciever. Bradford should be released out right. Monday morning. Great game TP.

Chris palmer = first down play, run the ball up the middle. the problem with that is that every team we play knows it...

Palmer is so predictable.. the only time we didn't run the ball on first down is in the 4th quarter, and when David Carr changed the play at the line of scrimmage..

and don't even get me started on the offensive line... come on...

BLOCK!!!!!!!

8 sacks!!!!

Despite all of that Carr still is trying. When you look at the stats at the end he is literally leading the team in rushing and passing. Where is everyone else? The O is broken big time and all the coaches should be fired immediatley. I do mean all of them. It would be chaos, but it has to happen. Its like a maligancy. They all think alike.

Agreed. The guys a warrior. Put the ball on the hands & shoulder pads all game long AND GOT NO SUPPORT from the recieving corpor the O-line. All of them. I'm too the point now, I'd just as soon see the guy get traded to a decent team as to be exposed to this mess. No one desevrves this.
This team was not prepaired. The game plan was a disaster. I wonder how many games Mr. McNarr will wait ? If it was my .7 billion, I'd pull the trigger Monday on some folks. I swear.
Pittsburg is a great team. Fanaca is a stud ! The trap he lit up Babs on was priceless.

Devastating loss.

Roethlisberger looked like a seasoned veteran out there today. Palomalu was in DC's face alot today. Folks made costly mistakes to get the Steelers another shot. WRs dropped passes.

*sigh

The problem with a preedictable offense is that the guys you are competing against are professionals and they are not easily fooled. Where is the professionalism? Why was Capers fired from his last Head Coaching job? Why was it that Capers was Chris Palmer's only hope? Come on Mr. Mcnair! It is time to make the Houston Texans respectable again. Start with a mass firing. :brickwall
