Banks had a good drive, heck a great drive, with help from Bradford actually catching the ball, but let's not label him our new franchise quaterback please. Give him one more drive.

I blame the coaching staff on this.. In 4 years they have never pulled Carr when he was struggling so Banks could go in and get some game film on this offense in gametime situations.. just to give Carr something to study
 
Carr throws down the middle zero times all season and Banks throws it twice on his first three throws? I know the 9ers were in Dime but wtf? Shows what poor field vision Carr has if nothing else. Yeah, give him the bonus.
 
You know what, you've got to credit Bradford with that one. That was a poorly placed pass that was lucky it wasn't intercepted. If a DB had of been on him instead of Peterson, the results would have been different.

Still, a TD is a TD. I'll take it however we can get it.

I've been saying that the only difference between Carr and Harrington is that Carr has never been pulled. That idea doesnt look so stupid now, does it????
 
Wow, I have some questions actually raised now concerning Carr... unless that was just coincdence? (Obviously, not fully converted to anti-Carr). It'll be an interesting 2nd half.

Wonder if there will actually be some QB competition in the coming offseason or the following offseason....

Does Bradford hate Carr so much that he would risk his own career by intentionally dropping passes and such? I can't imagine that.

Not necessarily, but it will give the consultant something to think about.
 
Don't get too excited about Banks, he'll probably throw an INT or fumble on this drive if Pendry lets him pass at all.

But it is amazing that there were receivers open in the middle of the field. Is this the first time in 16 games or is Carr as bad as I think he is?

Yep, that's still the biggest knock on Carr IMO - the inability to follow progressions / read defenses.

..unless he's not being allowed to?

Most of us longtimers don't think Banks is more than a back up....but he isn't scared to throw the ball in the deep middle.
 
He found open guys on this drive too, it's just hard to sit for 15 games and then be perfect. I'm surprised the hoppers didnt come on the first drive.
