Week 17 around the NFL

All this talk about the “vaunted jets defense” ha! Ol man Flaco and the Oline is killing these fools

Saleh ain’t all that
Speaking of Flacco. I didn't know he had his best year with Gary Kubiak as his OC. The Browns and Stephanski are basically running Kubiak's offense and Kubiak recommended Flacco to Stefanski.

I hope DeMeco and Slowik are also using Kubiak as a resource.

Super Bowl winning coach Gary Kubiak played a part in QB Joe Flacco joining Browns - A to Z Sports

What the heck is wrong with Jaire Alexander? What makes him think it was okay for him to not be a team captain and go out for the coin toss? Then to make it worst, he called it wrong. Instead of deferring to the second half, he said the defense will take the field. LMAO.

As stupid as that was, did it rise to the level of a suspension? Fine the guy and move on.

As reported there were other reasons that came before the game. He's been treading on thin ice for awhile

"The decision to suspend a player is never easy and not one we take lightly," Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said in a statement. "Unfortunately, Jaire's actions prior to the game in Carolina led us to take this step. As an organization, we have an expectation that everyone puts the team first. While we are disappointed, we had a good conversation with Jaire this morning and fully expect him to learn from this as we move forward together. We look forward to welcoming him back next week as he is a valued member of this team and will continue to be in the future."

It wasn't reported in the link you provided. I think that the coach and GM could have had "a long talk" with Alexander about the incident and not suspended him. That didn't just take $100k out of the pocket of a guy making $21 million. It hurts the team. And gives the impression that the damage to the coach's ego is more important than this game, and the playoffs.

That's how I read it.

P.S. The whole captains meeting at midfield to determine who gets the ball is trite. As LaFleur said, he had already had a conversation with the officials as to what they would do with the coin toss. Look for this to go away in next year's rules committee meeting. Much ado about nothing.

I suspect Alexander will be traded this offseason.
With $27 million of bonuses left to allocate? I think LaFleur is on a hotter seat than Alexander. And one reason the GM went along with this is that if the Packers miss the playoffs (for the 2nd year in a row) it will be easier to fire the coach.

He heard some garbage can banging and couldn't resist. He had to mention the Astros.
Well he's an LA guy right ?
Why is he still so popular because that famous hockey game was a long, long time ago right ?

Lions get first points and then first turnover! Dak intercepted already!

Power play by a HC vs all pro CB in a post Aaron Rodgers locker room.

CB thinks he can do what he wants. HC wants to remind him who is in charge.

I suspect Alexander will be traded this offseason.
If I was Caserio I would offer a 2nd for him
