Week 14 Gameday: Texans at Titans

Huh??? If you have a threat on the ground teams dont blitz as much because a simple draw could turn into a big play if the defense gets up the field too quick. And they they do it even less when the guy can catch.

And if Davis is such a threat, then why do teams not blitz us every play???

Not sure what your convo is about, but we sure do seem to be getting blitzed every play this game.

The whole 8-man box philosophy is intended to stop the run. By the way, teams do blitz us a lot, the only reason they dont always is because they know they can get to carr with a 4 man rush and drop everyone else

They are only sending five from what I've seen, just really bad communication between the lineman...

He would make the other team think twice about blitzing... :D

Yep, Bush knows how to pick up the blitz. That is one of his strengths. So yeah the Bush would actually help protect Carr also.

8 man box doesnt mean blitzing. It means they have more men in the box so when the RB breaks the d-lineman, there is an extra guy in the LB corps for him to take on. The 8th guy doesnt always charge the line.

Most of the time they can't cant to Carr using only 4. Today is just one of those days where they can...

i dont understand how anyone can watch this game and say we dont need to draft a lineman with the first pick...

PS: Carr sacked again, number 4

Is it me or do teams always play down to our level...until the end of the game.

Down goes Carr...again.

Why dont we ever put Mathis or AJ on the end arounds, we always use gaffney, our slowest receiver. Crap what a stupid play, Chester Pitts should be smarter than that.

DD got it'!!!!! 15 yds on a dump off!!!
This is what Davis did last year at the end of the season. After a below average first 10-12 games, he puts up big games at the end to keep his job.

One whole read on that play. Take snap, look left to DD, throw ball. 3 yard gain. What a game plan!

Okay, now its getting a little pathetic, he was protected but he is just scared, I blame the o-line just as much as Carr, see thats why he keeps doing that he is scared of gettinf hit.

Cleveland changed QBs and are actually challenging Cin-Cin. Why is Ragone sitting on the bench losing more hair? He should get some snaps.

Actually last year was the first year that we switched to the zone blocking scheme. The offensive line took like 3/4 of the season getting adjusted to it. They run blocked like crap for the first 9 games and DD still got his 1000 yard season.
