Week 11 Gameday: Chiefs at Texans

Sammy Knight never really impressed me when he played for the Dolphins. He's impressing me tonight.

Houston's play-calling, on the other hand.....ahem.

Well all i can say about the Astros and the Texans is i BELIEVE. Yes I do things need to change maybe alittle with the Astros but Alot with the Texans. This is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! what a blow out :brickwall

Great, now Smith is hurt. I would say put in the scrubs when we are down this much but I guess they are all scrubs.

We don't need Buddy. At this rate, Gary Walker's gonna throw a punch on the sideline and perform that role for the Texans.... :boxing:

this is why we need a player of bush's caliber
Sure he'd help us to score points, but what do we do about our pathetic excuse for a defense? I am so glad to see that we save our worst for National TV.

We suck more than 20 ft o' garden hose!!! Green locks on a reciever and they score, Carr locks on a reciever and we get intercepted. It can't get any worse...

Mr. McNair, I cannot imagine you will ever receive a louder wake-up call.

TWICE, no 3 times in a row we've been disgraced in primetime. Counting last years loss to the Packers.

and the #1 pick goes to the houston texans

Let's just pretend that Casserly keeps his job. What seriously-injured project player with "upside" would Houston end up blowing its #1 pick on? Maybe a CFL guy? I heard ESPN say Robert Edwards is hurt. Maybe he's available.

that is the most saddest part of being a texan fan. Capers is supposed to be a defense coach and that is argubly the weakest part of our team.

YaaaY! Bradford did something...and it actually wasn't bad... he is useful after all (still workin out it actually is though)!!!

I dont see why you all are so negitive.. look at the good part.. Least Carr wasnt sacked so far.

Why is it that everytime Carr has not been sacked in a game, the minute someone mentions it hets sacked? :embarrass :hairpull:

who scored to make it 17 points? BTW, has Donovan Morgan been on the field at all?

Mathis returned one for a TD, Davis rushed for a TD and we got a field goal. Don't know about Morgan.

Well, there it is. Our team was embarassed once again in Primetime. Time to start shopping around, McNair if you haven't already started looking for replacements.

When it comes to Vince..I just hope he stays at UT...cuz I want my Horns to go back2back.(Or at least have a shot)
Mack Brown is rumored to go with the saints if they stay in San Antonio, but as long as lombardi...er...Brown stays in Austin, so will Vince.

I guess we can all look forward to afternoon games all of next season.
Good, I dont like waiting all day to watch the game, I dont get anything done. Hows that for a positive spin on things?

The following problems are a direct result of the fact that they can never protect Carr for more than 1.3 seconds and they can't seem to run block anymore either:

the play calling
the running game (unless you count dump offs and the fact the DD did ANYTHING is a sign the we don't need another RB)
Carr not looking off receivers (there's no time for that).

I want to scream for Pendry to call for a bomb, but they'd need about 5 times as much time for Carr to throw as what he's getting. People say that our O-linemen are some of the largest men they've ever seen. So, why can't they do ANYTHING right? Was Pitts any good at LT tonight? I wouldn't know because Pendry doesn't dare leave Carr in the pocket for 2 seconds.

Oh, and , by the way, I know that a guy like AJ has to be really frustrated right now, but you don't shove people in the face right in front of a referee. Then you don't throw the ball in their face and then you don't shove another guy in the face later. Sheesh. Whanna know the worst part? Capers. Shaking his head like, yes, son, it'll be OK. I know it's AJ, OK, but Capers needs to be grabbing his face mask and shoving it around yelling and chewing his butt out for that. You can forgive him later (you better), but don't just let it go.

Onto to D
First of all, I don't want to see, hear, talk about or smell Phillip Buchannon anymore. He stinks. He can't cover. He won't tackle. Fire him, bench him, kill him. I really don't care.

Secondly, hey Fangio, you ever think about making sure the freakin' TE is covered? Mighta been a good idea tonight....and cover him with someone besides P-burnt who can't or won't tackle receivers, much less tight ends. One of the best TEs in the business and you don't bother to make sure he's covered.

As far as stopping the run goes, I really don't know. I honestly don't. They're just good and we just suck. That's all I can tell you. You would think that our D could stop the run. I mean it really seems like it. I know that KC is good at that and that LJ is good (especially for a backup), but he set a franchise record tonight. A TEAM'S BACKUP SET A FRANCHISE RECORD AGAINST US ON NATIONAL TELEVISION (not that anybody was watching).

Special Teams
Mariucci for President. :yahoo: Oops. Mariano for President! (I knew it was something like Mario)
Jerome Mathis doesn't do run backs the right way. He doesn't have to. :redtowel:
The returns were excellent. The coverage was Excellent. Everything else was good. I don't know if Mariucci (oops again) has HC skills but he has the right attitude for one. It'd be a big risk though.

That is it, any of you fans out there who think we need a new QB, Bush, or any other player who is not an offensive lineman, I hope you all have jobs where drug testing is not required, because you're all definitely one test away from the unemployment line. If you insist you are drug free, go to the Emergency Room immediately you have obviously suffered a very sever head trauma. This awful season is the result of Casserly and Capers' refusal to DRAFT IN THE 1ST ROUND an OFFENSIVE LINEMAN for years.

I think there is only one thing that will solve this problem as to who/what is to blame for this debacle being referred to as the 2005 Texans' Season, it is time to bench Carr. If only to keep the guy from having his spine snapped in two. I am sure he would like to be able to play with his kids while he is not confined to a wheelchair. I agree with others who say it is time to see if it is Carr or the coaching staff. This does need to be determined before the draft to determine whether or not we keep the first pick or trade it away. We may find that Matt Leinert is not the panacea needed for this franchise. We also need to disprove the theory of the porous line before the draft cuz if so, we need to start scouting the hades out of OL's for the 1st day. Either way, it is time for everyone from GM on down to go. THe only coach I would even consider keeping is Marciano. Special Teams is the only consistent part of the team at this point. He is the only coach who displays any emotion on this team. I wish he were more knowledgeable so McNair could make him the HC. I want an emotional coach who gets irate when players make bone-headed mistakes. We ain't got that right now. I am here for the long haul and unlike some others who have posted here no other team will EVER GET MY LOYALTY OR SUPPORT!!!:texflag: :texans:
